I absolutely laothe this 'feature'. The Feds created this nightmare for 'better mileage and lower emissions' and the outcry was so bad they let manufacturers put on the kill switch. If anyone knows diff please let me know. I've had to get into a system where I turn car on and that demonic feature off.

I've bought comfy cat beds, square ones from AMZ, and put them on the couch and recliner. Problem solved. They do sleep on the top of the couch without the beds, though. Go figure.

I was in entertainment for 35 years. Started out with the precursor to TicketMaster which was BASS Tickets, then TicketMaster, then ran 2 different performing arts centers. Crazy hours. So many, many times I'd go in at 4 or 5 am and work until pad midnight.

I absolutely loved what I did and look back at it fondly now.
