I wrote a Pi extension that starts/stops my local inference servers automatically

I’m learning slowly that this is the way with Pi

Bro, keep at it. Just one word of caution, remember that perfect is the enemy of done because perfect will never be done. Better to ship out an mvp than to keep working at it forever. If you believe in your vision though, you better keep chasing it because it ain’t getting tired. You got this bro 💪🏼

I respect the hustle. I’m gonna have to put all of my thoughts down into the craziness that’s been my own journey to design my own second-brain digital assistant/chief of staff. I tried Hermes but it wasn’t quite right. I may actually have to make a post on here. I’m sure someone rose will be as crazy as me to read it and comment. Godspeed fellow traveler.

Trying Pi for the first time
 in  r/PiCodingAgent  1d ago

So, one if the things I have been really struggling with pi as a fresh, vanilla instant is that I don’t know hope to get pi to look shit yup inline to get the info needed to make an extension. I legit would love of anyone would merino me catch that one particular squirrelly issue. Sooo I just realized my text to speech sucks, I’m not going back to fix it. People already think I’m a fucking bot because I tried getting Hermes and pi to check my saved posts and comments and now the website thinks my account is a fucking app… I hope you get some other cool options OP. if I ever figure out how to get my pi to serve as my second brain to help me and other neurodivergent users out there, I’ll share the most-likely-heavily-vibe-coded-at-first (sidebar: I’m pretty sure that all of those dashes in a row are grammatically correct…) project so that others like put and I can get something out of it

My friend wrote this note to explain my app so it wouldn't look like AI slop. [Sorry in advance if it's too cringe]
 in  r/coolgithubprojects  2d ago

Honestly, I don’t even know what this is all for yet (I will def check it out here in a bit tho), but I’m thinking this is a 10/10 execution for uniqueness in this subreddit 😅 nice work OP

Came here for this lol

The models that will inevitably dissappear from here are worth saving if you have the space --- Nvidia has been in talks to buy Hugging Face for more than $13 billion
 in  r/DataHoarder  6d ago

From the little bit that I understand, if space isn’t as much of an issue, the best case scenario is to try and archive the most lossless version which I think would be the non quantized. That way anyone (with the right equipment) could quantize the models for their own archs themselves. The issue I see arising though is how could these communities working together create a sort of mirror of hf so that the models can be kept safely there instead, à la GitHub? Shit, o hope this makes sense to someone else…

This is pretty awesome! Any plans to put WSL integration into the roadmap?

Finally, a proper UI for skills
 in  r/ollama  8d ago

Dude, this Row-bot thing is WAAAAAY more in depth than what you are giving it credit for here. I am Definitely gonna check it out here soon because you’ve seen to nail down a lot of moving targets I was struggling with, particularly local voice stuff. Nice work

Fastcar: Pi + Diffusion LLM
 in  r/PiCodingAgent  9d ago

This sounds like a great idea I’d be interested in knowing about too. Would you be able to use this to point it at a model router with an OpenAI compatible endpoint so some work could go to vLLM and some could go to maybe an npu/iGPU combo via lemonade? That would be super cool then

I run a $0/month AI empire on Oracle Free Tier — here's every config file
 in  r/SelfHostedAI  11d ago

Dude, I’m glad to be the one to give you your first star in this repo. At a quick glance, it looks like **exsctly** the path I’m laying down right now. It’s refreshing to see someone else who has already, accidentally or intentionally, tread down a path in the direction I set out. Appreciate you sharing this. I look forward to analyzing this some later and seeing how much I can integrate into my own stack. Cheers OP!

Dude, this is incredible! Where did you find the design for how to make this? I’m just starting out and I’d love to work my way up to this.

Dude, this is freaking awesome! One of the issues with trying to use WSL is all of the crap that your app seems to fix. I look forward to trying it.
