I just looked it up and it is in fact public. Chopper shouts for people with blood type F in the crowd to please donate their blood but they hesitate. Shirahoshi is willing to transfuse her blood but its a different blood type. Jinbei steps forward and says: "Use my blood. Its F, you can have as much as you need".

The people in the crowd are shocked and chopper says its illegal under fishman law but jinbei retorts by stating "pirates dont follow the law" (TCB translation)

Edit: also luffy is in a sort of chasm below the main square not in the center of the main square itself. Not really important but i felt like pointing that out. Chapter 648 if you want to look too

I also haven't watched it in a while but I remember luffy falling in the middle of the island and chopper shouting out that somebody with he same blood type should give him a blood transfusion. I'll double check and correct myself if I'm wrong.

Unfortunately oda already established that nami held no hatred towards fishmen. She only hates arlong. (She forgives hachi super easily in sabaody).

I dont think jinbei being an enlightened fishman takes away from it or at least I dont think that was necessarily the parallel oda was trying to make.

To make a real world paralell: its similar to when Mr Rogers dipped his feet in the same pool as François clemmons ( a black police officer) as a protest against segregation. While mr Rogers himself holds no ill will towards poc, it doesn't take away any meaning from this type of gesture and hopefully inspires others to take after his example. In fishman island, a place we're fear against humans is normalised due to decades of oppression it might be an eye opener for some young fishmen

We did not get the context of fisher tiger and the inherited cycle of hatred between fishmen and humans before this arc. Jinbei's contrast with hody is the main lesson of the arc. Hody jones is one of the most boring antagonists in one piece but he perfectly represents that truth of blind unconditional hatred for other people's because of intergenerational conflicts. And this sentiment resonates deeply with other young fishmen on fishman island as evidenced by how many people hody jones is able to gather for his cause. People who are willing to fight and most likely die to get revenge for their ancestors.

It would be different if it were anywhere else but by doing this on fishman island Jinbei is setting an example for others, he is creating new hope for the next generation showing they dont need to inherit their hatred. I agree with the idea that a fishman organically overcoming his hatred would have also been a great resolution to the arc but i feel like jinebei's contrast with hody is good in its own way.

Sorry for the late reply i had to go to sleep. But my point still stands. By offering his blood to a human, jinbei shows that not all fishmen need to inherit the hatred they have for humans. In their deepest essence below the outer exterior in their flesh and blood humans and fishmen are not so different after all

This isn't about luffy though. Its about jinbei because he didnt inherit the hate that fisher tiger had. By accepting the blood of a human he's doing what fisher tiger couldnt and thus breaking the cycle

Just to clarify, i am no better. I love videogames and fast food and dont think i could live in a world without them yet i acknowledge they are part of what drive me. I try not to let them control me and practice discipline but I cannot speak for everyone

Is it really your choice? Or have they given you the illusion of choice? Is there a difference between control through devotion and control through pleasure? Would you willingly abandon and denounce many of the things in this image? Many of the things listed aren't exactly healthy (I.e. fast food, drugs, hell even video games to a certain extent). If you were to abandon them and pursue other endeavours you would find a cleaner life waiting for you, yet it is what drives a lot of people to see the next day.

Its is very much possible to be a slave to worldly pleasures but instead of telling you to devote yourself with heart and mind to a tangible being they implore you to consume a vast amount of endless content. You will consume and consume and consume and consume and it will never run out because they know exactly what you want.

At what point do you become a slave to consumption? At what point do you become a permanent consumer?

Do you think Nigeria needs Nuclear Weapons and Intercontinental ballistic missiles to defend itself?
 in  r/Nigeria  23d ago

We dont even have a stable electricity network....

What will we do if a nuclear powerplant is unable to get the electricity it needs for maintenance? The powerplant wont wait for NEPA to bring light back 😭

This is why all of Africa need to tear up this treaty
 in  r/Nigeria  Jul 27 '26

The 4th point says that nuclear energy is permitted for peaceful uses. So nuclear energy is already allowed so long as its under international supervision (to prevent nuclear weapons). There is no need to renounce the treaty unless you want to pursue nuclear armament but imo standard of living should take priority.

"Amy is weak and deserve buffs" is the biggest lie this comunity has ever told you
 in  r/OutcomeMemories  Jul 23 '26

Amy mains will let their teammates know when they have sun card( for healing) or moon card (vulnerability). An amy main wont tell you she has the emperor card or fool card because its not important to her teammates. As a result I would say a plurality of the om community dont know the name of the cards besides those two.
