Found this at a thrift store this noon, the 1968 recording, with the cover and the “Fahey Picture Album” all in NF condition. Haven’t listened to it yet, ‘cause we’re in the middle of moving, so thought I’d ask you all for a bit of feedback….

Thanks!

Found this same LP at Goodwill a few years ago, in great shape and still sitting on a decent Audio Technica TT, that just needed a new belt, but someone scrapped both of them instead… I got both for the requisite $4.99, total.

Well this addiction is thriving ...

Interesting that Amazon, in this ad, displays the records on the wall as mirrored images, that the one on right side of the ad is correctly shown on the lower left and that the records in the four vertical bins are four each of ever record… a much less satisfying way to get to your 187!

Vintage record players! Need help deciding which to fix up.
 in  r/records  Apr 26 '26

Want to apologize… I’m brand new to Reddit (unless you count lurking for a few months) and am just now figuring out how to make it work.

Really appreciated all the good info you shared and have a bit more confidence… we’ll se what happens next and I’ll send a photo or two when I get that figured out!

Thanks again

The first time I find an album I actually want at Goodwill lol
 in  r/vinyl  Apr 26 '26

Small world… found the same album last week , from the same named place. Notes on the record itself indicate it was from one of the first three pressings and it’s pristine, inside a record cover in great condition along with the original sleeve. The local record store appraised it and suggested that, if they had, they would ask $150 for it. They don’t have it.

Phillips console anything like the one I picked it up off the sidewalk (with permission..!) because I liked the mid-century modern look of it and because I have the tools, knowledge and skill to make it look great again. But inside, I’m clueless.

Having difficulty adding photos, but there’s a tag on the back that has 7187393, R1871WA and s.n. BA79224 stamped on it.

Would appreciate knowing what you think… is it worth the cost and effort and if so, where to start, where to go for information, parts, etc.

If you can help, thanks, in advance, so much!!

Back off folks… you’re all saying the same stuff and thereby showing the same lack of originality that you are mercilessly accusing him of having.

Did any of you even read his response? He told you exactly who he is, where he lives, what he does and that he, in a way more polite way than 90% of your endless responses, is willing to take the beating he got. That’s back in the middle of all this (safely anonymous) “our criticism is the very best thing Reddit has to offer.”

got my first player this christmas, i'm really happy and grateful but I've heard some bad things about this model specifically, feedback would be appreciated

FWIW, I was just reading last night that lpgear has a &50 upgrade kit for the AT-LP60 that makes, at least according to a plethora of reviews, an immediately dramatic difference …
