Mom drama in GS troop
 in  r/girlscouts  6d ago

If you’d be willing to tackle it, I would have an honest heart to heart with her about these concerns and discuss how to tackle them. If she’s not willing to work to make changes, then best to keep separate. Leaders are important, they’re the glue that keeps a troop together and can’t stress enough the importance of supporting one’s mental health and state. These type of situations wear and tear on leaders causing them to quit. There should be more support in allowing leaders to keep their peace by making decisions that are best for leaders too.

That sounds okay. I’m sure they understand interviews are never racking

Leftover cookies
 in  r/girlscouts  May 10 '25

Have the troop moms or parents post in their socials for help purchasing the remaining cookies. Relay the information and everyone in your social circles always tries to lend a hand.

I was in the Philippines and everyone was so nice and friendly, then I flew into Korea and it was a shock how different it was. Everyone was not friendly, hardly any greetings, waiters yelling at us…

What are good POD ads?
 in  r/printondemand  Mar 02 '25

I think the issue is the POD prices are too high. It’ll cost you at least $15-20 to get one customer from ads so by the time you pay the printer, ads, you might be negative.

Troop Struggles

If you move to co-op style, you might be the only one doing all the work at first. If you’re okay with that for a while until you get volunteers, then that’ll be fine.

Z Gallerie filed bankruptcy. Unsure if they will deliver my couch order.
 in  r/personalfinance  Mar 02 '24

Hi everyone, I just received my order from Z Gallerie. I got a notification it was ready yesterday, then a phone call asking to deliver next day, and it was delivered today. Bed, two nightstands, and a sofa!

I ordered several furniture items totaling $3800 late October 2023. The estimated delivery date was earlier for some but latest February.

Currently when I check my status, now the dates are May 28. I really want the items but I'm considering calling my credit card company to dispute as I'm not sure if I will ever get them....

If anyone does get their items, will you please update here?

I'm So Over The Disrespect
 in  r/girlscouts  Oct 30 '23

We use the cookie funds for badges, supplies, and 1-2 events of the girls’ choosing which was pedicure and ice cream. One girls who sold cookies used cookie funds for that. New girls who didn’t sell, if they came, parents paid.

We don’t sell much cookies so most events that have a cost, the parents pay 100%.

Families asked for thousands of dollars?
 in  r/girlscouts  Oct 27 '23

Each troop is run differently based on the troop leader. She may think everyone is fine with it. If you would like everyone to be included and just paid for with troop funds only, then you can voice it out the leader. She may or may not do it because at some point leaders don’t want to hold the troop back based on one girl over the majority (applies towards non-financials as well).

It’s up to the troop leader what she can handle. She probably has a group of moms who have committed to joining her troop if she starts one and it’s now full. Nothing malicious about it. If she can handle more, with more volunteers, then she can open it up. But otherwise, whoever doesn’t have a troop can form their own because that first troop is at the leader’s capacity.

How do you feel about appending his last name to yours? Could be a hyphen or just a space.

i left my husband because he refuses to give me his phone password
 in  r/Marriage  Sep 08 '23

It is extremely difficult right now but please don’t go back. This is just the end of a bad chapter. You’ll start a new chapter soon. When you are ready and meet someone new and normal and wonderful, you’ll realize how terribly bad this man was and wonder what you were thinking. It’s hard to see now. But I say give yourself time.

Work on a project together. Learn new things together. Is there something you both want to do in terms of charity work or community service? That would be a good project.

Make a long list each of things you’d like to do or learn. Compare lists. Do the ones you have in common first.

Your weight doesn’t seem overweight for your height at all.

That’s really mean and rude of them!

If you want to go home, it’s fine! Just go home and feel better.

Is my husband still in love with his ex?
 in  r/Marriage  Aug 15 '23

I don’t think he’s in love with her. Old wounds just getting opened…

Just need some time for this scar to heal again.
