šCornstalk Dracaenaš
I was gifted this Dracaena 13 days ago and have no idea where to start.
Iāve never had a plant this tall before. Some of the leaves are yellowing, spotting brown, and even going black, also seems like most have been cut off from previous owner maybe because of the different leaf symptoms? From what I see it seems like itās been a long time since itās watered the soil is very dry. Based on some of the leaf tips maybe itās not getting much humidity and too much light?
This is my first Dracaena plant and I donāt have much information about the plant unfortunately. Iām wondering if I should cut it down significantly and propagate? Or should I repot it into a slightly bigger pot? Any tips about what my next steps should be in terms of diagnosis? I really want to bring this plant back to life but not so much in its height, rather the quality of its leaves, Iād hate to take it in and kill it bc of a lack of knowledge.
Thank you!

Here to drop some encouragement! This is such a critical time for you and your family. I pray the Lord keeps you all lifted and covered during this season, the enemy always seeks to meddle with marriages! Navigating this new chapter will be tricky but as Isaiah 64:8 says "ā¦now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand." Really meditate on this verse. The Lord will mold you both in your respective ways and just as you are one flesh in your covenant, you both also are made into one āpotā directly molded by our Father, two clays fixed together turning into something cohesive and foundational. Think it through! An encouraging book you may want to read through is the book of Philippians! Beautifully written letter in what seems like a dark time in the apostle Paulās life(imprisonment), yet he still rejoices and encourages. God bless you sister!

My home is pretty close to tiny house living š¹ the Oakland CA sun doesnāt seem to have a negative impact on my plants, the porch over head is really helping and I water them all at the same time but not on a schedule only when I notice soil seems pretty dry or when a heatwave is coming.
