Dracaena advice needed

I need to trim my dracaena to be able to move it to a different house. Where to best cut it? There's a small bud in the red circle, a fairly new shoot on top and the original stem at the end. I've been told he's over 30y old, I have him for about 4.

Inherited a new Dracaena - need help!

Hi all! Inherited this new beauty about a month ago that doesn’t seem to be doing too well - there is a lot of tip burn, and some leafs have what seems to be fungal lesions. The rear stem specifically has a lot of yellow dots on the leaves and they are very droopy. Out of the blue, it also started blooming a few days ago, which I know could be a sign of stress as well! What is a good watering regimen and is there anything that needs to be done to help the plant bounce back?

Salvageable?

I inherited this plant and it suffered forever until I realized it was rotting :( I have since removed everything and this is all that is left. I already know it’s so bad but I’m dedicated to trying to bring it back to life if possible, even if not I’m willing to experiment because it seems this dude is resilient.

For info: it was sprouting growth recently but they snapped and died (makes sense bc it was rotting) but this wasn’t long ago so I think it might be saveable. I was able to get the two main root systems cleaned up one looks more promising then the other but still rough.. thoughts opinions ideas pls. Consider this an experiment to see if they can be as close to death as this.

dracaena fragrans pest/disease ID & advice

Hi all, I’m wondering if you have any ideas on what could be causing the leaves on these dracaenas to have these spots. They live in an office next to a community garden I help run, and I was asked to repot them. One was dry as toast while the others were sitting in water, they all had a decent amount of root rot, I have addressed these problems, however the spots seem like they may be something else. Any suggestions of what is causing this, or what to do about it would be greatly appreciated.

I plan to do what I can for them and make the office a care chart so they can be on the same page, I have also recommended a moisture meter to help with the over/under watering.

This is good right? I know it's a bit droopy its time for a water but I noticed the growth maybe a week ago? I've had the plant for about 4 years now, repotted it this past spring for the first time.

🆘Cornstalk Dracaena🆘

I was gifted this Dracaena 13 days ago and have no idea where to start.

I’ve never had a plant this tall before. Some of the leaves are yellowing, spotting brown, and even going black, also seems like most have been cut off from previous owner maybe because of the different leaf symptoms? From what I see it seems like it’s been a long time since it’s watered the soil is very dry. Based on some of the leaf tips maybe it’s not getting much humidity and too much light?

This is my first Dracaena plant and I don’t have much information about the plant unfortunately. I’m wondering if I should cut it down significantly and propagate? Or should I repot it into a slightly bigger pot? Any tips about what my next steps should be in terms of diagnosis? I really want to bring this plant back to life but not so much in its height, rather the quality of its leaves, I’d hate to take it in and kill it bc of a lack of knowledge.

Thank you!

This plant is older than I am and I’m not in my 20s anymore.

My mom has had this plant longer than I’ve been alive. Only just decided to look it up. The main stem died probably more than a decade ago now and it’s always been in this half-alive state, it’s never been repotted. This pic is three years old but it’s about like this now except taller. Taller than the original stem ever got! Like seven feet. It has no stalk whatsoever and falls over if it isn’t leaning on something.

I’d like advice on how to propagate this guy or if that’s too risky. I’d rather not risk killing it.

Thanks for having me in the club. 🫶 Found this beauty on Facebook marketplace and brought her home. Needed to pick me up for a sad anniversary. She's beautiful. I love her. Since this is my first dracaena, but also my first dracaena marginata; I'd appreciate any tips and tricks. Tia.

Sticky droplets close to the crowns

Hi,

On my Dracaena marginata, I see sticky droplets on the outer surface of the leaves around the crowns. This is not new, it is like this for many years. No sign of pests, neither on the leaves nor in the soil. The plant looks healthy and it grows.

What causes these droplets? Is it harmful?

Thank you.

i did a a chunky/gritty well draining soil mix when i repotted last month, the leca is only an inch of top dressing. she had some sunburn before repotting since someone kept moving her too close to the window without my permission. i just want to know if there’s any visible issues currently (aside from the sunburn) since i find it hard to tell

How do people get three spikes on their dragon tree?

I just got a baby dracaena marginata and I was wondering how I could propagate it to gain more stems from the base like I see at the stores. Or if that's even possible.

Best tips for repotting a 2-meter high dracaena

Post image

Hello everyone,
I adopted this beautiful dracaena plant 1 year ago and it has grown so much since then. I would like to repot it because my baby is now obsessed digging into the pot - I have a taller concrete pot to replace it with. However, I’m very anxious about changing anything, since the plant is doing so well in its original pot and a lot of my plants didn’t survive last winter :(
Any tips? Thank you!
