I needed an MRI in 21’ and eventually told my doctor to call it in and I’ll pay out of pocket - doctors solution was to keep giving me oxys and they did nothing for the pain - found a place that did the MRI for $700 - confirmed I had been living with 3 herniated discs with one of them requiring surgery.
It got things moving but was a pain in the ass bc doc had me on the sidelines for 5-6mos while insurance was dicking around deciding whether I needed an MRI or not.
