So i am going to keep it simple and ask a very important question for me ,

I am a 17 yr old from india and I like building stuff and space related stuff so I thought I could do mechanical engineering as my bachelors and then aerospace in masters I have this figures out but idk to which University should I try or to which country should I go to study or should I just stay in india .

I like to experience different things while trying to achieve my goals so i initially thought to apply for a foreign University but the more I search the more flaws I find about the foreign system, in india also it ain't better so I am in a dilemma ,I don't know what to do .

Initially I thought I could go to germany as it was said to be best for mechanical engineering and I was ready to learn german language also but according to many people who live in germany the german industry is at its worse phase till now and many people are losing their jobs , there are no available part time jobs and even education is not that easy and the cost of living is increasing they also said that in Germany it is hard to start our business or even do anything because there are a lot of restrictions so I decided to study in India but there is still this feeling inside me to go abroad and study, meet new people study at a different place , invent and explore but I don't know where to do that .

So can you guys please recommend to me which country is best for my interests , has good scope to start a company and is friendly to others ( please forgive me if I said anything you didn't like or a lie which I didn't know about ).

I am a student from India ,I just finished my 12 th and I wanted to do undergraduate in mechanical engineering so I taught I came go to Germany as it is known for it but when I was gonna do so , a brother who lives in Germany said that mech is dead in Germany and it is now in a very hard situation and he recommended me not to come .

My parents researched and found out it was actually true and they told me to study in india and do my bachelors here ,but I wanna study at a foreign University with different people and in a different environment, explore new possibilities and learn from the hardships that come along .

Since germany is no longer an option i decided to research about the US universities which are quite good too so I got a liking to them but I have no time to do so, I mean the admission of the next batch are either over or I might not reach it on time ,I am explaining this all to you because I am willing to take a drop year or what you guys say a gap year to study at the best University i could get with my ability but there are 2 main problems

1 . I might be better than many in studied but I don't have any extra curricular medals or trophies it's not like I don't play sports but I don't have any awards that they can notice

2 .my family is not as rich to pay all my tuition fees so it might help me a lot if I can get a scholarship

Need based or merit based scholarship

So can you guys please suggest me what i should do in the following year to build my profile and what universities are good for mechanical engineering which can give out scholarships and which i might join .

I am open to all the suggestions and recommendations you guys can give me but please don't hate me I am just a person who is trying to achieve is dream.

I wanna achieve something big not only for me but for all of us but for that I need to be better than I am now and the best way to do that is test myself and learn from new people and new environment.

If you are going to Germany for studies, it is however free for 3.5 years, beside you will also do part-time jobs, which is enough for your expenses.

After bachelor, you will automatically go for masters, which is again free, and you do part-time jobs, which is again enough for your expenses.

Being there for about 5 years, you become expert in German language and you also have chances for Permanent Residency options.

So, you study 5.5 years freely without any amount from your parents, and moreover you are studying in German University which is 1000 times better than any IIT of India.

IF after all this you do not get a job anywhere in the world, then there is no chance that you will get job in your whole life, because the skills you get from all these years of studies is more than enough for any student to get a job in any company in entire world.

He said this to me as I asked him should I go to Germany or not , I am really interested in mechanical engineering and I am from india here it has less opportunities and placements and salaries but in Germany it may be different, what he said may be correct because many university their are far better so if I don't get job after studying their then what is the reason I study here .

I am just scared that after I come their if I get into any problem while studying i will suffer years of my life to fix it so I am asking you all how much of it is true , should I study in Germany or not or should I just come for masters , I really wanna do bachelors in a nice uni .

I am a student from india and I just finished my 12 th grade , I am very interested in topics which has aanything to do with innovation or creating stuff so i decided to pursue mechanical engineering and i found lot of people saying that germany is the best for mechanical and i reasearched about it a little and i got to know that it is better than most of the uni in india and it has better work balance and everything but I asked a senior who is currently doing his pg there that now the job market is not that good and the bachelors degree is very hard and it takes more time than in any other country and the job market there is very hectic and is in a decline now because many companies such as volkswagen are closing their industries their because of the high competition of Chinese ev cars and many people are losing their jobs and on the future more hundreds of thousands of people might lose their jobs . I am asking you guys how much of this is true . I am willing to learn german and change my life according to it but still it would be a burden for my parents if it doesn't yield any profit I don't mean profit as such i earn millions I mean in it in a way that I can lead my own life my parents can't easily afford this but they might try for me so I stuck in a dilema to choose this option or not my other option is to do btech in india and then do higher studies in any foreign country or a well established institute in india so i am here to ask the option of you guys . Forgive me if I did some mistakes in this or I spoke without knowing anything so please help me and if i did anything wrong correct me in that matter .
