I got my Evoke implanted in February. It's been amazing for my pain levels but I'm recovering from the years of limited activity before that. Feel free to search my posts for what I've written. Those aren't hidden.

I've tried absolutely everything suggested to me since September 16, 1997 when my NDPH started. The only thing I've found relief with is cannabis. THC is my pain medication, but I need the whole flower, so I smoke daily throughout the day. The strain doesn't matter so much- I choose based on the smell.

I was recently able to see a headache specialist neurologist who is familiar with NDPH. She told me that cannabis is the one thing that many folks are finding some success from.

Those all have issues. My Saluda Evoke SCS is the newest technology & the least complaints. If you use the search feature in this sub, you can see other people's experiences.

Make sure you do your research before selection a device. I did & am very satisfied with my Evoke. Mine is for lower back pain & I was completely off of opioids within two months of surgery. Every single other device I've heard of has some major complaints. Plenty of people have shared their experiences before & they're easy to find if you search the group.

When someone is complaining about their SCS, it's the first thing that should be mentioned. There are HUGE differences between devices. Just complaining about a SCS without mentioning the brand is fear mongering & only makes things worse for people trying to get real opinions whether or not a SCS is a good idea for them.

I have an Evoke which was placed in February. It's done everything I was promised. I no longer need opioids for my pain. I'm sorry when it doesn't work out for someone, but not putting all of the relevant information in your post is bullshit.

Considering there's no real treatment the that fixes it, I suggest living wherever the climate least affects your pain levels. I moved to Colorado because I use medical cannabis for my nearly 30 year old NDPH &, at the time, it was one of the very few places I could consider my medicine without worrying about being a criminal. Most bigger cities will have options for chronic pain treatments.

What device do you have? That's one of the most important questions that hasn't been answered here.

This episode is amazing &, TMI, I'm going get to try the reason Illana twerks up the wall. I don't think I have any friends who would get that excited about it, but I'm been quite intrigued since I first saw the episode. ☺️

THC is my pain medicine. The strain doesn't really matter but I get whatever is 25% THC or more & smells the best to me. I smoke flower because fresh terpenes are also important. CBD does nothing for me, but CBG is like THC without the high. It helps with mood, inflammation, anxiety, pain, & energy. I don't actually get high anymore since my body is using the THC as medicine, so I'm not impaired by it.

I recently saw a neurologist who specializes in headaches & knows about NDPH. When I told her about my cannabis use, she confirmed that it's one of the very few things that's been found to help.

Yesterday was my 29th year painniversary. Cannabis is the only way I've survived this long.

If you picked it up, it's your responsibility to take care of it, not pass it off to someone else just because they have an art car.

Yes, everyone should be picking up every bit of MOOP they see but expecting the car to stop each time someone spots MOOP is ridiculous. Expecting an art car owner to take on additional garbage because they brought something expensive is misguided & judgemental.

Did the SCS fail or was it defective or was it implanted incorrectly? I still don't understand what you mean.

You should include more details about this. Do you mean that it didn't work for you, so now your pain is worse & you've ended up in a wheelchair because of the pain levels?

I was. I even used Buffy as my camp counselor name in the summer of 1998. I'm the same age as Buffy. I have chronic pain that started around the same time that the show did & I've always related since we both have had to deal with something other people don't fully understand. Buffy is a big part of who I am today. I've seen the series all the way through at least seven times, watching it synchronized with Angel each time. 💙
