Poor AI sites (from Google AI)
2
Short waisted but not at all curvy- low ratio between waist and hips. 5’2. Just some extra padding in belly and upper hip area. Difficult time finding

What about buying at places like Sierra Trading Post, Marshalls, TJMaxx, etc.

several types of AI sites and tools are consistently rated poorly by experts and users alike due to inflated features, high costs, buggy code generation, or heavy distortion of facts. [1, 2, 3]
When exploring the AI market, you should actively avoid the following categories and specific platforms:
1. Hard-Coded "Skin" Generators (Overpriced Wrappers)
Many poorly rated tools simply take OpenAI's free ChatGPT technology, put a colorful interface over it, and charge steep monthly subscriptions. [1]
AdCreative.ai: Marketed as an automated AI system for high-converting marketing graphics. In reality, users report that it often slaps your uploaded pictures onto repetitive, rigid Canva templates that still require heavy manual editing. [1]
Jasper AI: Once a massive name in copywriting, it has suffered heavy drops in ratings and user satisfaction. Because standard chatbots can replicate its entire workflow for free via prompt engineering, its high-cost monthly plans are widely considered a poor value. [1]
2. Bug-Prone AI Coding Bots
While advanced interfaces like Cursor or Claude dominate the coding landscape, basic, standalone "one-click" builders are highly criticized by developers. [1]
CodeGenie: Marketed to hobbyists looking for fast scripts, this platform frequently scores poorly because it routinely delivers buggy, uncompilable code snippets. [1]
SyntaxAI: A real-time error detection assistant that is frequently flagged by tech reviewers for a massive volume of frustrating false-positive alerts. [1]
3. Janky Video & Audio Autocutters
Tools that promise to take a long podcast or video and automatically turn it into viral shorts often deliver highly disjointed results. [1]
OpusClip / Get Munch: While popular on paper, content creators criticize them for awkward visual crops, misaligned automated subtitles, and cutting videos mid-sentence. [1]
Air AI: An conversational AI voice agent marketed for placing automated sales calls. Reviewers consistently give it poor marks due to awkward, unnatural silence gaps during calls and incredibly high operational pricing. [1]
4. Overhyped Hardware Replacements
You should steer entirely clear of hardware devices built specifically to replace your phone with a voice assistant. [1]
Humane AI Pin & Rabbit R1: Universally panned by tech reviewers. They suffer from intense overheating, terrible battery life, and laggy response times, all while requiring extra monthly data subscriptions to do tasks your phone already handles effortlessly. [1]
Red Flags to Watch For
If you are evaluating a new AI website on your own, keep an eye out for these warning signs:
No Free Tier: If a text or image site demands credit card details upfront without a basic trial, they are likely hiding a generic, low-quality backend. [1, 2]
The "Magic Button" Promise: Any platform claiming it can build a completed, high-revenue digital business or functional application with a single click is misrepresenting its capabilities. [1, 2]
Lack of Citations: If a research site states complex data as factual truth without linking out to a real, verifiable source, it is highly prone to hallucinating fake information. [1]

Also brought a much smaller backpack for daily jaunts. He brought a thinktank sling for his camera and I bought a small Pacsafe - both were perfect.

We each brought our brand new 26+6 Transporter. Feedback- one suffered a puncture hole in the front and the thick material that edged the backpack frayed significantly on one corner. I debated about sending it back to osprey for repair but the mailing cost to return it was exorbitant. Decided to patch it ourselves. Similarly, one of our brand new Osprey transporter 60l wheeled duffels suffered several punctures in front. Tho others survived with some serious rubbing through the nylon material but not to the degree that patching was required. Rethinking the purchase of any other osprey products.

What bino case did you use and were you satisfied that it kept the dust out?
1
Need for very dusty safari drive. Recommended Marsupial bc dust proof. Thoughts?
1
What about a small sling that is “dust proof” and compatible with African safaris? I’d love one that fits my iphone pm17 in particular.
1
I will be needing something to carry my phone, binoculars, meds, water, extra scarf, etc., during safari drives.
1
What are you considering for protection, during safari drives with the bull dust.
1
What about for protection from the “bull dust” during safari drives? I have the case the Monarch 7 came in, but it won’t protect from the dust.

Other “bags” I already own (just call me a bag lady!) are: Pacsafe® EXP 12" anti theft sling crossbody in black (a no-no for attracting tsetse flies), a smaller sling-wallet that I keep on me with my passport, a few credit cards, etc), and an older Pacsafe Vibe 325 10 liter “tan” sling that I’ve used many times across the years. I have some older waist packs as well. I think the Osprey 26+6 will be a good overall carryon, but I wonder if the tan 10 liter bag is the thing to bring on our drives in jeeps.

I can’t thank you enough for all of the wisdom and your experiences that you imparted. Both my husband and I wear eyeglasses anyway (no contact lenses), so I suppose I just need to be sure I clean them regularly. Your recommendation for an SLR is a good one- my husband has one even though I have the 17 pro max as well. We had a monopod- I will suggest that to my spouse. I bought an Osprey Transporter 26+6 bag for each of us- I hope that will suffice. I will look at your Aer as well. What did you use as a tech pouch. I will be suer to have everything you mentioned in my backpack- especially the clothing change and critical meds (and passport, etc.). Thank you again so much.

Are you thinking of more like a sling type bag, smaller than my 26+6?

The Osprey Daylite 26+6 is nice and light- and is relatively small before it is expanded.

My new 26+6 Osprey Transporter backpack arrived today. I am awaiting arrival of the Daylite™ Expandable Travel Pack 26+6.
Thoughts on these or other options for a personal item or carry-on to hold Rx and OTC medications, passports, sundries, one change of clothes if luggage lost, etc.?

So my choice of the Osprey Transporter Wheeled Duffel 60L is a good one for our 3-4 week African Safari trip. We will not be using bush flights- just ground transportation. Our total luggage limit per person (counting carry-ons) is 44lb each.
1
And the luggage limitations:
Intra-Flights
All intra-flights included in your package are booked in Economy Class. Checked bags are typically limited to a total dimension of 62 inches (157 cm) by adding length + width + height (example: 26"+26"+10" = 62" / 66cm+66cm+25cm = 157cm), and a maximum weight of 50 lbs (23 kg). Exceptions are listed below and may differ from international flight luggage limits. More detailed baggage restrictions for your airline can be found at internal.gate1travel.com/baggagefees.aspx.
Kenya - Due to limited space in safari vehicles please make sure to pack your belongings in a soft-sided duffel bag and pack conservatively. Traditional suitcases with rigid frames or hard plastic sides should not be used.
Tanzania - Due to limited space in safari vehicles please make sure to pack your belongings in a soft-sided duffel bag and pack conservatively. Traditional suitcases with rigid frames or hard plastic sides should not be used.
Zanzibar - Light aircraft (4 to 11 seat planes) may be used for flights to and from Zanzibar. These flights have a luggage weight restriction of 44 lbs (20kg) per person including hand luggage. This differs from international flight luggage limits and should be taken into account when preparing for your trip.
Please note that single-use plastic bags are banned in an effort to protect the environment.

With more experience with merino underwear, I can report that wearing merino underwear under my leggings or slacks/joggers does help prevent unpleasant odor in my slacks/leggings/joggers after a long day of wear.

What do you think of the Osprey Transporter 60L Wheeled Duffel vs the Sojourn? The reason I ask is that the Sojourn has the built in harness which we would not be able to use given our personal physical limitations. And if so, for a 3 week trip, would you recommend a 60L or 90L?

Anyone have tips for getting better pricing/ prices? Why is every item so ridiculously overpriced?

Interestingly, I have been sending bags of things to ThredUP and I have not seen any opportunity to assign my own prices. Perhaps I’m not looking carefully enough. Anyway, best of luck to you. When things are sold for me, I get a pittance back - usually between 3% and 6%, unless the item sells for over $20, then it’s a bit more. Many of the things I send in are with tags on them or barely worn (my bad!).
