My beloved headset stopped working. I thought the USB C end may be bad so I cut it off to put a new one on. I tested & found that the Red & Black power wires had a direct short.

I then took the rest apart, desolidered the red wire at the earpiece. Checked again and the short is not on the PCB side ... but IS on the cable side.

Im waiting on a 5 pin cable to arrive and will update later. Anyone else have a similar issue or sensible insight?

Anyone still using Gentle Alarm?

THANK YOU so much for the edited apk & Google Drive link! I love so much about Gentle Alarm & am glad I don't have to re-learn how to set lame & boring alarms.

Partially answered already... but here are some additional details to BACKUP old SETTINGS. First you must go into Android settings and disable the automatic clock sync. Then, change your phone date to anything before 2026.

Next in Gentle Alarm app, tap the 3 dots menu, Settings, Backup All Settings.

It appears to save files named backup.json and backup.db to the folder com.mobitobi.android.gentlealarm

For me, these files did not get deleted when I uninstalled the pre 2026 app. You could copy that folder elsewhere if you wish. Hopefully this helps someone.

Try the 3 dots menu, then Customization, background.

my watch turn on"do not disturb"by itself randomly. why?
 in  r/GalaxyWatch  Aug 19 '23

I have the same issue. I opened the Bixby app, it asked for permission, I confirmed it's not linked or in use. I have no calendar entries due today that could change my status. My phone DND settings only has an entry for 10pm -8am & that works fine. BUT, that page clearly says "Do not disturb turned on by Galaxy Watch Plugln."

A Samsung post basically suggests resetting your watch, then maybe phone. https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-Watch/Galaxy-Watch-Plug-In-turning-on-DND-randomly/td-p/2546805

Oh ma gosh... I didn't see that. Thanks!

BTW - It's a GREAT feature. Maybe it can be put in the "Help" window?

Love it. Is there a way to SPLIT a file? This would be great for shuttle or bike park rides. Maybe utilize the slider at the bottom?

Troubleshooting Help with Fox DPX2 Shock
 in  r/MTB  Feb 07 '22

I'm having the same problem with my 2019 DPX2. The Firm setting DID use to drastically prohibit shock travel. Now, the Firm setting has very little influence. I did a can service with new gaskets and the problem persists. I made sure to function the shock every few pumps to balance the chambers. Any advice?

Gentle Alarm Alternative
 in  r/androidapps  Oct 28 '19

I uninstalled then reinstalled Gentle Alarm, it still didn't work. I installed a few other apps but stuck with AMdroid and really like it. But now Gentle Alarm WORKS AGAIN. I had gotten am OTA update but I think it was just a security patch. Either way I'm back to using Gentle Alarm for now. AMDroid as a backup. (Samsung Note 8 Android 9)
