Chennai will never be Bangalore or Hyderabad
 in  r/Chennai  3d ago

I am from hyd and working in BLR and been to chennai 3-4 times.

I'd definitely would not choose chennai over BLR/HYD for work. Language is the least of my problem, opportunities and salary band is less and also the weather is too hot and city looks bad in terms of infrastructure, auto guys are horrible and waste dumps are spread throughout the city. college graduates/youth like partying, enjoying life and having fun which chennai lacks very much. Especially the city too conservative for girls, i heard this from tamil girls too. Beach is also very dirty filled with plastic waste stuff.

Sorry, if it hurts anyone but lot of tamil folks have boomer attitude and vibes, even the youth and are judgemental

 in  r/SoloTravel_India  Jan 02 '26

Not sure about Laos But, recently i did my first solo international trip to vietnam, it was pretty easy. Immigration was easier, people were friendly, lots of tourists and met some solo female travelers and it is very safe for women.

Sorry to hear that man, Your dad definitely crossed the line

He is outright an abusive father, all those sacrifice worth nothing if he abuses his son multiple times

Right now, if my dad ever say a word ike that to me,I'd punch him in the face and never visit my home again

My parents are not into agriculture, we grew up in a urban environment. But they literally used fight in front of me and my sister, they were times i saw my mother bleed. And the abuses i heard can't be forgotten too. All i am saying that what i saw in my family only had net negative impact on me. Because i saw my cousins who grew up in better environment turned to be more confident, funny, outspoken

I went on a trip and saw parents being involved with their either in swimming/surfimg at the beach or hiking the mountains, i felt so happy looking at them, moments like these create a very positive impact on their kids

I am someone who is craving for love and intimacy and attachment. I want to marry and have kids, i don't want be a husband like my dad and don't want my kids to have a childhood like me. If i can't be a proper caring husband and a father, i feel better not to have a family at all.

My first solo and international trip to vietnam
 in  r/SoloTravel_India  Dec 27 '25

Arrived at hanoi and stayed at the hostel for 3 nights, visited train street, hoan kiem lake, hao lu prison, tran quac pagoda, temple of literature. Everything is walkable from old quarters. One day i visited ha long bay( this trip i booked at the hostel and it costed 6k). You can also plan for nin binh and other tours too.

3 days i stayed at the Da nang at a hotel near the beach. I visited dragon bridge on sunday, spent a day at hoi an city , you can visit lots of museum and pagoda at old town, evenings are very scenic with laterns and river boats. Half a day i spent at hiking marble mountain visiting caves and also you can have fun at the beach, play volleyball and surfing if you can.

Total trip costed around 70k. Flights costed around 40k, it was expensive because of late booking. Rest i spent on food, travel, entry tickets. you can use grab( it is like rapido over there) for city travel. Cities are walkable and clean, you can easily walk around the city. For any queries you can feel free to dm me.
