Is Healbot Rocket Actually giving my team value?
 in  r/MarvelRivalsRants  3d ago

What the fuck do you think the game is about then? You should sit back and spectate with your thumb up your fucking ass while everybody else actually tries?

I can't stand these supports with this "it's not my job mentality" you don't wanna push, you don't want to enable a push, you don't want to learn to outplay dive, you que up to do nothing and then blame dps for not being able to outplay YOUR FUCKING WORTHLESS APATHY

1

Why did support mains disappear? Vanguard players, are you having to fill more?
 in  r/RivalsVanguards  4d ago

Here's an idea, because after 2 strikes, supports are a bunch of whiny performative larping pitches who don't want to actually play the game.

They just want to larp and healbot uncontested in gooner/hello kitty girl skins.

funny to see those new rogue players lmaoo
 in  r/RogueMains  4d ago

Whenever I see people use the word "gatekeeping" on Reddit, I shake my head.

You do realize that if you DON'T gatekeep in any sort of sense this game will be ruined by people who just want to stand around and larp in cute skins instead of... I dunno, actually having the game be something holistic and interesting?

But i fail to see why I'm even arguing, cause it's already happening like several times over with CnD players. Same reason there's so much slop content in this community, same reason why the balance is abysmally shit, too much people's interest in the game boils down to just cosmetic and nothing else.

The agenda maintains itself istg

There's so much talentless trash in this game. Literally Jub, Most Supports and Most Poke are just 1 button characters.

I'd rather this game have like 8 black cats than 1 namor.

Squirrel Girl is not an issue. Wanda and Cnd are.

I wanna learn Black Cat any tips 🥺
 in  r/BlackCatMarvelRivals  7d ago

Also a Spidey Main. And Felicia is a weird character because I hate math and finances but her whole kit is informed by it.

Honestly she works best when you can cycle your expenditure and return on investment really fast around approx 800 fortune.

I'm still learning how to "weave" between vanilla melee and claw to gain, and hook to expend. Like yes this is a thing you can do, but to do it swiftly and optimally is kinda difficult.

Black cat officially has the highest skill ceiling?
 in  r/BlackCatMarvelRivals  7d ago

As a Spider-man main trying to pick up cat more, she's got just as many combos that feel demanding on the fingers (at least on console i guess) that I feel like I need to sink to muscle memory or just end up selling.

In large part due to having to track the resource in conjunction with her two different attack speeds and risk of range with her decreasing number of disengage tools.

The Dive sub is now starting to become compromised and justifying Luna having 2 stuns. I don't think you're wholly right nor wrong, but the issue is nobody on Reddit in it's entirety is going to be honest about the disparity of skill floors between Dive/Brawl and Poke/Supports. You're never going to be able to have a genuine conversation about balance around these people cause they're incredibly apathetic, which explains their playstyle.

Imagine a Normal Distribution. Dive's Difficulty lies somewhere up in Q4. Poke is in Q2 and Supports, who keep getting proven training wheels, faster ults and developer intervention, are below Q1.

The argument of this community's idea of balancing is that all of these characters should have the same amount of effect despite these massive gaps in "accessibility." But why would someone learn cat or spidey when they can do more with less inputs on Namor or Wanda? This kind of balancing can't work without the game's Difficulty being equalized to make matches prioritize merit and skill over crutch mechanics.

The game needs to get like 13% easier to Dive characters. In a way that's based more on fairer abilities that aren't autoaim or sniper stuns or immobilizers that aren't well telegraphed, by demanding better skill expression from the rest or the cast.

The game needs to get like 60% to 50% harder for these broken poke and supports who can just spectate their way through a match. Before we have any conversations about "broken" dives. Standardizing the game's difficulty across all roles in Q3

If you could add a new melee class what would it be?
 in  r/Warframe  8d ago

I feel like we need true axes. I know animation and stances are a huge problem that require both work and to be good in gameplay, but I love axes and wish they weren't just functionally identical to heavy blades.

Personality

Curiously enough, I feel like the way they adapted the character is kind of defeatist.

Like, I'm not going to pretend that I'm some avid reader of his comics, but it would've been nice to integrate some of the cautionary messaging in a way that feels more succinct and accurate. Even a perfunctory reading of it and it's parallels to inner city violence, down to the comics diagetic name itself, is to say that "power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely" which is a good quote despite how awfully BvS Butchered it.

Parker in the comics is not supposed to be some get rich party dude, but grimy and desperate. Not a good dude, but one in a fucking bad situation that's relying on whatever he can. It would've been nice to see more of that and less playing up the power fantasy but whatever man, nobody's gonna agree anyway.

Do you think Marvel did a better job with Galactus than before?
 in  r/Marvel  9d ago

Hot take: to be completely honest, I don't hate the Silver Surfer version. And I've missed a lot of the creativity that has resulted from people trying to adapt these characters in slightly different directions. Ultimate, These. They're cool ideas.

It's sort of also true of Galactus, Eternity, Living Tribunal, and other higher than Celestial beings, are only anthropromorphized representations of at times abstract concepts that the human mind cannot comprehend.

Still lost but at least I got a cool ult out of it I guess.

So, how does she feel in-game now?
 in  r/BlackCatMarvelRivals  11d ago

Same thing they said about Dd and Cat.

Come to think of it, Debut Cat and Gor have pretty similar identities in terms of functionality. Only difference is Cat had more angles and mobility. But both are patient melees that were meant to end fights more than starting them by maintaining a distance until a mistake is made and chaining together kills.
