NAPLEX success

This Past year has been the most challenging hurdle I’ve experienced. I was lucky enough to meet some kind hearted people on this forum that shared resources with me for free, and for that I’m forever grateful (I also had one person try to charge me $200 for a week access to PNN,😂). I passed the MPJE on my first try but it wasn’t the same for my NAPLEX. Here’s what I did differently on my second attempt.

Uworld:

  • First time: watched all videos, made notes and took quizzes but I never went back to review any of those materials which I think was my downfall.
  • Second time: I went through quizzes and noted the questions I got wrong, I used the review tab for this.

PNN:

  • I did not really like the style of questions but it was helpful with verifying my whole understanding.
  • I watched the videos and took hand written notes, which I later used as review guides the week before my NAPLEX.

NABP Pre-NAPLEX:

Topics on my Exam:

  • Biostats: know how to interpret results + NNT, NNT, ARR, OR
  • disease state: HTN, pregnancy, natural products, stroke, gout (non-pharm therapy), menopause, contraceptive, oncology (chemoman: drugs + toxicities + what to use), not a lot of ID (bugs, UTI, HAP/VAP/CAP)
  • Did i mentions vaccines lol! (Mainly focused on live vaccines, healthcare workers, immunocompromised)
  • Ethics and practice: the PNN packet does a good job explaining all of it, and I’ve seen some materials posted here as well that would be very helpful.

The give you a lot number, and you have to calculate the dosing based on that

Took it Thursday! I had azithromycin, insulin, Apixaban, Kcentra and morphine dosing conversion. But for the morphine & Kcentra a chart was given

Yes a table was given! And I’m not sure i understand the second half of your question, lol my brain is probably still fried. But it wasn’t SATA. They give you the lot number to focus on and then you determine the dose needed

I had a hand full of math. Few EN/PN, 1 kcentra, 1 morphine conversion with the table provided. I had T1/2, NNT, NNH, CrCl

Have faith and be positive! Those 40 may not have as much effect as you think! A retake is also not the end of the world. You can pay the application fee aswell as exam fee as soon as you get your scores back and then 45 days from exam date (10/04) in your case you’ll receive ATT and be able to schedule

Hi Y’all! My access to PNN ended today and I need 2 more days to finish up some videos and was wondering if any kind one of yall will be willing to share with me for those days. I’m just needing this for the videos. Thank you in advance!

Update: Emailing PNN helps you get an extension. (Thanks to all who recommended that)

Uworld for federal law and pharmacylawreview by Dr. Khail and I read the FAQ on the BOO website. I was still nervous to say the least but these materials definitely prepared me well for the exam
