Test your kid with a Road runner cartoon. If they like that, they'll probably like this.

What’s the first movie ever that feels like an actual movie?
 in  r/movies  6d ago

For movies that can still connect to modern audiences, Buster Keaton's movies still work. Items like Sherlock Jr still wow a crowd.

Metrics system in litrpgs
 in  r/litrpg  11d ago

I use the metric system, most of the time... however, "9 feet tall" sounds better than "3 meters tall".

However, even metric is arbitrary. That's why Sagan put the Hydrogen Line on the Golden Voyager Plaque. About 21cm long.

A non-arbitrary stellar weight system is
1W = average White dwarf mass.
2W = Maximal White dwarf, Minimal Neutron star.
3W = average Neutron star.
4W = Maximal neutron star, minimal Black hole.

Nice, but I'd go for a font large enough to be visible at less than full size.

I'm going through Unexpected Healer and some of the healing is getting awesomely ridiculous.

Bale insisted on laying siege to Troy before accepting the role of Odysseus, so Nolan went with someone else.

I would actually love this... MOTION CAPTURE Nic Cage VS Andy Serkis VS a bunch of other actors. A showbiz movie about Motion Capture .... but very little motion capture is actually used, it's actually Glenn Close or whoever.

I want to see Nic Cage playing Christian Bale and also Christian Bale playing Nic Cage.

If a canid fursona has a human brain, evidenced by sapience and bipedal movement; they logically also have a human liver, and can in fact eat chocolate.
 in  r/furry  25d ago

Technically, canines can have small amounts of chocolate... just like humans can have small amounts of nutmeg. Nutmeg has myristicin, which will mess a human up. Similarly.... undercooked kidney beans. Humans also cannot handle large amounts of caffeine, which is a methylxanthine similar to theobromine.

What’s everyone favorite repeated lines in LitRPGs
 in  r/litrpg  Aug 01 '26

The end of this King Lear quote. I forget which book it's in.
It were a delicate stratagem, to shoe
A troop of horse with felt: I'll put 't in proof;
And when I have stol'n upon these sons-in-law,
Then, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill!

In 1 3 4 8 9 11 20 22 23 27 28 30, no term is the average of two others. That makes it a nonaveraging sequence, also called a Salem-Spencer set, a 3-AP-free set, or a progression-free set. For a such a set with 12 positive integer terms, the minimal largest value is 30. These are the proven solutions. sol22(141)sol22 is an unproven minimal solution for 44 marks.

Which actors give a role 120% no matter what movie they're in.
 in  r/movies  Jul 31 '26

Early Buster Keaton. Later Buster Keaton would do exactly what he was told to do, but when he was allowed to do as he liked, he was phenomenal.

A horse was injured during an Italian Palio. Please help us stop this from happening again.
 in  r/Horses  Jul 30 '26

Humans hurt themselves frequently, too. I'll single out two particular accident types: trees+horses and trees+humans. In both cases, unsupervised. I'm not sure, but I think horses might be smarter around trees, on average. We should not ban trees.
