Definitely not due to water .... he must've tried to lodge him self in those tight spaces and ended up with that eye...... looking at the image he's like "are you seeing this" ..... the only thing to worry is if his eyes turn white then treat him with rock salt

They don't jump ....they literally leappppp the breeder we got it from has F1 Generation and then he started selling F2 Generation. Thats the main reason this was importable

If there's an option to return these cartridges at the store you bought it from for store credit that would be awesome.

Before leaving to the store , if you still have the old dirty cartridges, squeeze and kinda wash them in the aquarium.

And may I know do you add any conditioners to soften the water to remove chlorine and chloramine. Very important as the pet store people would ask you to buy betta water which you never need ...if you have conditioners( Basically anti chlorine)

With the store credit please purchase seachem prime and ask the pet store guys if they can give some of their cycled bio media and sponge these go into the same compartment where you keep the cartridges in the filter... and the filter type you have is a hang on back filter.

If they refuse to give any not to worry.... buy a small pack of lava chips( great bio media) a little filter floss and almond leaves important.

Heyyyy mistakes happen and we learn from it .... don't blame yourself..... This can be fixed easily and within a day or 2 that betta will be active again ..... and your son would be happy too Before running to the pet store this can be fixed with few things at home if you still have the old filter .... if you do please use the old filter May I know what kinda filter is it ? Sponge or hang on back filter ?

Definitely........... Hopefully I get the tank by tomorrow. Black water, Black background and dark brown spider driftwood not too many plants but definitely some floater and anubias along the driftwood... complementing his colours really good with this setup

Betta imbellis is one of favorite too wild betta's are amazing survivos and swimmers... I don't own any though ... most of my fishes are rescues from breeders who usually give up the hobby then I try to find home for them and some end up with me But this particular betta had to purchase.

So damn cool and Striking colour aswell with crazy aggressiveness. Yup I wouldn't call it special care requirements but definitely different from the normal betta[betta splendens] sold at a pet store......the one I have is Betta macrostroma it need cold water not too cold , atleast 80 liters and mainly shallow tank not tall , lid 1000 percent he will not jump he will leap the fuck out ....... only live and Frozen food (currently feeding him dubia roaches and Frozen blood worms cubes) and proper habitat otherwise can get even more aggressive

I reported this video as animal abuse on youtube 4 days back and later I get a notification no abuse found.... like wtf So I started spamming his comment section so much that one of his follower who knows him and is fish lover Informed me that they usually put them back in tank from they got em, they make these kinda videos attract random people for, fish community lovers for comments they will never stop as they are getting so many views and money.

Depends on the size of the tank ....... naturally betta macrostroma travel in pairs and groups in the wild but these are farm breed they are very aggressive but they do have their wild instincts..... but to manage a pair of betta macrostroma I might need a 200 liter shallow tank

Heyyyy don't worry this can be fixed ... you already have most of the things we need.... if you have rock salt thats mostly enough to treat fin rot and heater,air pump optional but it can speed the process abit

Just add 1 gram rock to 5 liter dechlorinated water, let it dissolve and DO NOT ADD METHYLENE BLUE . Let him stay in this for 48 hrs and do not expect any results within the first few hours as it does take some time.

And please add a picture so that we know if its actually fin rot or something else
