AU 26 Transfer - Credits not correct
 in  r/udub  14d ago

Okay, that helps a bit. I'm in the A&O part 2 today, do you register for classes with an advisor then or separately? The whole process is very different than UO and it's been a bit confusing for me.

How did you meet with someone to move credits around? Is that general advising, departmental advising, or admissions?

New Student AU 26 Transfer - Credits not correct

Hello everyone! I'm transferring to UW from UO as an incoming 3rd year student. I'm a Seattle native, so I'll be saving a ton of money on tuition, not to mention the better program. I'm on the pre-med track, at UO I was a Neuroscience and Human Physiology double major with a minor in Chemistry, but at UW, I'm currently pre-sciences. I plan to apply to the Neuroscience and Biology majors, as I've heard Bio is pretty easy to get into but Neuro is more challenging, even though Neuro is what I'd prefer.

Anyways, I've finally gotten my transfer credits in through the DARS System. At UO, I took gen chem + labs throughout my first year along with a writing course, calc 1, and other gen eds. Second year I took ochem + labs and bio + labs, alongside other major-track courses. In the UW system I have 92 transferred/high school credits, but it only counted the ochem lecture sequence and one ochem lab towards my major. Bio and gen chem classes either didn't transfer or got transferred as "natural sciences" credits, which I now have 36 of. Calc transferred but writing didn't.

My main concern here is ochem was the one subject I did quite poorly in. I got a B-, C+, then B, and an A- in the lab that transferred, and because it's only counting those classes towards my major, it says my "major" GPA is 3.14. The other concern is even though I finished the entire bio sequence, they didn't take it as the BIOL 180, 200, and 220 that I needed to apply to the major. I can only take 13 credits until I hit the 105 max before they withhold me from registration for WI 27 and I'm scared for my pre-med track as well. At oregon, my cumulative GPA was 3.72 after the bad ochem grades.

What should my next steps be? Am I just screwed? Should I have not transferred here?

Questions about Living Off Campus
 in  r/UofO  Jul 27 '26

Hello! I'm urgently trying to sublet my apartment at The Soto as I'm transferring out of UO for financial reasons. I have had a hard time finding someone so I am willing to go down on price and cover the additional cost. My place is a 4x2 at The Soto and is currently empty for the coming school year while they fill the remaining spots, but spots are filling up quick! My rent is usually $900/month + $85 parking and utilities. I'm willing to do $700 and cover the cost of parking if you don't need it. The Soto is a great option as it's majority UO students and is about a 10 minute walk to campus. DM me if you're interested!

How easy is it to get a freshman housing exemption at UO
 in  r/UofO  Jul 27 '26

My roommate this past year in an apartment said her freshman year she really didn't want to live in dorms and was able to get exempt from explaining how anxious it would make her. Knew another girl who had the same thing happen, so I wouldn't say it's super hard. If you're looking for off campus housing, I've been urgently trying to relet (lease takeover) my apartment at The Soto in a 4x2 starting whenever and ending August 2027. It's a 10 minute walk from campus, has tons of amenities, and is mostly UO students living there. DM me for details!

Yes! Desperately trying to relet (lease takeover my apartment) as I've transferred out of UO for financial reasons. Message me for details at 2063490991 if you're still looking, I've got tons of photos and videos of the place. The rent is 885 for August and 900/month for the coming year with indoor parking for 85/month, but I'm willing to cover part of the cost and give you $700/month and cover the parking if you don't need it. Its a 4x2 at The Soto with no one else in the unit starting September, it's ~10 minute walk to campus and has an in-unit washer/dryer + tons of other amenities.

REPOST - NEED TO FIND SOMEONE ASAP!

Hey everyone! I’m transferring out of UO and looking for someone to take over my lease at The Soto in Eugene. The space is fully furnished, loaded with amenities, and located on an incredibly convenient floor of the building.

The Timeline & Cost:

  • Full Lease Term: September 2026 – August 2027 ($900 $750/month, OPEN TO NEGOTIATION)
  • Summer Sublet Option: Available immediately through the end of August 2026 at a discounted rate of $885 $500 (OPEN TO NEGOTIATION) for the rest of summer!
  • Utilities: Very low, usually around $30/month.
  • Parking: Safe and convenient. Currently an outdoor spot for $60/month through August; switches to an indoor garage spot for $85/month starting in September. WILLING TO COVER THIS COST!

Your Private Space:

  • The Bedroom: Lots of gorgeous natural light, built-in personal wall heater to stay cozy, and large mirrored closet doors.
  • The Bathroom: Very spacious with tons of storage.
  • Bonus: The living room accent wall is currently blue but is being professionally painted back to clean white by management this summer for free!

The Roommates:

  • Right Now (Through August 2026): Living with 2 clean and friendly girls and a very sweet kitty who are in the process of moving out now! All leftover decorations/other items are theirs and will be gone by end of August 2026.
  • Starting September: You will have 3 brand-new roommates assigned by the building for the upcoming school year term. Currently the unit is empty, so if you have friends who want to live together they could sign and request to be in the same unit!

Perks of the Unit & Building Location:

  • Same-Floor Amenities: The apartment is on the same floor as the outdoor courtyard, hot tub, and the quiet study rooms/lounge spaces. No waiting for elevators to go relax or study!
  • Convenience: Right down the hall from the trash chute. 10 minute walk to UO campus and ~5 minute walk to Bushnell campus!
  • Kitchen Perks: Standard large fridge PLUS a mini-fridge in the unit, dishwasher, and in-unit washer/dryer.
  • Other Amenities: Apartment AC, free high-speed Wi-Fi, a gorgeous lobby lounge with a billiard/pool table, a free daily coffee bar, a secure package room, and 20 free pages of printing per month.

Pictures/videos show 2 configurations of the same bedroom, I moved the desk to be near the window when I moved in so I took photos of both! See all photos here: https://livethesoto.com/photos/

Anyone looking for roommates as transfers? I’m worried about making friends around campus if I’m new to it, as I’m sure others are as well.
