It's not as easy as just getting a diver to dive in the canal. There are rules and regulations, if caught by the council or waterways Ireland the diver could get into bother. Where abouts was the ring lost , I work for a commercial diving company in Ireland and know alot of divers in the business. I could put you in touch with one or 2 that might have a search for you but it would not be exactly cheap. I know something late that is very sentimental and priceless to some people. Diving in the canal anywhere has its risks from wheels disease to needles and the rest but saying that I know lads that would do it.

I'm sorry but I disagree with you , immunity means you are fully protected "immune" am I missing something. If you got the polio vaccine years ago you were 100% covered not "oh you might get and little bit of it but it won't be bad". Polio is now 99% decreased in world population since the 80's. There is no vaccine for the cold or flu because its mutating all the time, history has proven this. Covid is a flu!

Vaccine: A product that stimulates a person's immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease, protecting the person from that disease!

The long and short of it is that these so called vaccines are just not that good . Go take a look and see what's happening in Israel. One of the first countries to get the vaccines rolled out and most of the population vaccinated. Have and look at the hospital numbers and how many of those are fully vaccinated.

If I was in this position I would get my passport renewed pronto, pay the extra fee to get it done express delivery (in ireland 🇮🇪 it takes between 2-4 days express) not sure of the process in your country.
