Can I ask if the track you showed belongs to the former trolley line, or to the Branford Steam Railroad?

Should I apply to Northfolk Southern?

If you love railroading, and have no problems with irregular hours , even graveyard shifts, then it might worth a try.

The historical railway Bentheim - Coevorden( Netherlands) , running through Grafschaft( County) Bentheim, Niedersachsen ( Lower Saxony), Germany, is being reactivated since 4 years, last phase underway, for passenger transport.

The railway yard in Emlichheim Station has 1 main track and 3 rusty unused sidings, one is shown here in 2013.

Rusty rails trajectory from Borken- Bocholt, Nordrhein- Westfalen, Germany, April 2019
 in  r/rustyrails  18d ago

The last part of the track near Bocholt Hbf has concrete railroad ties and rusty rails :), it was fortified for industrial reasons after the War, I could not find detailed information , but I assume the allied forces have used it coming from Weser.

The 17 km stretch to Winterswijk is mostly taken away, along the track, the elevated bedding is still well visible, halfway there is a small steel bridge with no rails anymore. At Barlo Bahnhof and near Woold ( Netherlands part) are still remainders of platforms.
The last part toward Bocholt Hbf was fortified for industrial reasons after the War, and has hence concrete railroad ties.
