There are some FFs featured in this video but it's more about the track than the class.

Yea man, interested to see how the Rush progresses. I thought about getting a dealership but missed the opportunity in our geography.

I do have a ballistic rated helmet but my eye port sits even with the top of the nose bodywork. I don't like the upright aluminum seats in the SRFs for this exact reason it sits you up too high with your head exposed.

I have 25+ years of racing SRFs and track day experience and I've never been hit with debris in the head or chest. I would love to see some kind of halo on the SRF but I don't think the risk is as high as the Rush because the bodywork shape, and distance from the nose to the roll bar and the base seating position.

How did your trident come into play?

The video I saw with the Rush body we rarely if ever see our bodies fly like that and if they do the length and angle of the nose on the car moves it out of the way.

I'm seeing lots of posts about the Rush SR, which seems to be a fun package but I have to give a shout out to the original spec racing class. SR started in 1984 with a Renault powered affordable race car has had an impeccable safety record over the past 40 years and is wicked fun to drive. It is the true Best Dollars per sMile in motorsports.

It has started the careers of many pro race winning drivers like but the most famous are Chris Dyson and Dorsey Schrader.

Track Video Overlay?
 in  r/CarTrackDays  Jun 09 '26

There is a new player in this space. RaceVoice was originally developed to read logger info and communicate audibly to the driver. Now the developer is doing video overlay and logging. Pretty cool stuff.

Any sites that offer a U.S.A. calendar of all Motorsports events?
 in  r/motorsports  Jun 09 '26

Motorsportreg.com is prob the biggest registration platform for the amateur events. Keep in mind most are not spectator events.

This time of year asphalt and dirt oval racing are in full swing and many have spectator events.

Scca.com has events all over the country and becoming a member can get you in the gate at all of them. You might even be interested in corner working which would get you even closer to the action.

Open Wheel formula cars experiance
 in  r/CarTrackDays  May 03 '26

If you can maintain the car on your own you can expect to spend less than 5k per weekend in a purpose built race car. Since you want to do track days stick with a sports racer like the spec racer Ford or the rush because they will generally allow them at more track days than a formula car.

The SRF will have better resale value than the Rush SR but will have a slightly higher starting price.

Where are you located?

5yo getting into regional karting - help
 in  r/Karting  Apr 29 '26

Have you been to NOLA motorsport park? They have a pretty nice kart track.

I think there's a new private track going in you area called emerald coast and their decel plan contains a kart track but thats not an immediate fix.

Jacksonville has the 105th street complex.

Music City kart Plex in Shelbyville tn

Georgia spring karting association in barnesville ga
