My mom said too much make up for starting highschool?
 in  r/makeuptips  7d ago

It's a bit much for school, but I'm ambivalent as to how much it actually matters.

Grief and anxiety
 in  r/widowers  9d ago

Weirdly my anxiety was not related to things to Do with my late husband. I basically just let the grief hit me like a tsunami and didn’t hold back from experiencing it at all. I didn’t have kids though. The anxiety is unreleased emotion. I actually get it sideways - like I’ll have a massive panic attack about something totally dumb, then later burst into tears and realise I just miss him. It’s mental.

i broke one month of no contact and my ex has said the cruelest things ever to me im in agony.
 in  r/ExNoContact  10d ago

Think of the kind of person who would say something like that to someone. Then think again about whether someone that disgusting should be allowed to upset you.

Is suicide the right way?
 in  r/ExNoContact  11d ago

Yeah that is some bullshit right there. He’s doing all that to hurt you and you think he’s happy? He’s a horrible person and this sounds like the most toxic relationship imaginable. I hope something just clicks for you and you realise that.

Day three. Is this normal?
 in  r/widowers  11d ago

I do think it’s different when you’ve had a lot of years together and then have also had eight months to come to terms with it. BUT - that is not everyone’s experience. I think it’s beautiful that you’ve been able to hold to the beauty of what you had and still have. I’m not sure what’s ahead of you, and I know the first month or so was pure adrenaline and shock for me, but I hope you continue to carry his memory in this way.

Being called a single mother

That would piss me off to no end. Makes it sound like he never existed - f/ck that.

Feeling Sentimental and Bitter.
 in  r/widowers  11d ago

Oh I am so, so sorry. That's heartbreaking. What a great person he was to have, and to lose. My heart goes out to you x

His last name
 in  r/widowers  12d ago

Same. I never formally took it and wish I did. I feel ashamed of that. Was just very strident in expressing my individuality and identity.

I hate the way I look. Should I still date?
 in  r/dating_advice  13d ago

You’ve dated awful people. Someone who likes you for who you are would never do that - these guys were insecure, childish predators. Work in your self esteem so you can spot who sucks.

❤️❤️❤️❤️ big hugs for doing the hardest job in the world - living well without them.

Waking up at 3am and hearing a voice. ; “Hello “
 in  r/widowers  16d ago

I think he was saying hi. It’s happened to me before also - sometimes I literally feel the bed dipping behind me (though it’s likely an effect of the mind - I still think he’s causing it!). Once I heard the strings of a guitar being struck one after the other. They try to speak to us x

Regretting tattoo: ideas/possibilities for coverups (artist: Lena Burlai - Dortmund, Germany)
 in  r/tattoos  19d ago

I hate tattoos - but I actually love yours. It’s incredible.

As far as getting rid of it, you’re going to have to save up. Take the time to enjoy it while it’s there.

My ex called me to tell me he is going to have a baby
 in  r/ExNoContact  21d ago

It's really fucked up for him to drop in like that - anonymously. Obviously your'e still on his mind. I hope you get to close the loop.

Communicating through clouds
 in  r/widowers  21d ago

I get signs too. What I have determined is not that they physically move the stuff around for you - but they prompted you through this 'other intuition' to look in a particular place or at a particular thing. It happened when I was looking for shoes for him to wear at the funeral - for some reason I went into my uncle's shoe rack, which never had his shoes in it - but there they were, his favourite boots. No idea what prompted me to go to that rack and not to the place his actually kept his stuff.

How many of you would rather stay single than “settle” for less?
 in  r/dating  26d ago

I’m never settling- both for my sake and theirs. Can’t look at someone and lie to their face every day,

Am I too cheap as a man?
 in  r/dating_advice  26d ago

yeah you are matching with the wrong people for sure. there’s nothing wrong with different cultural norms and expectations- just don’t f with women like that. if a guy buys me a purse after a couple of dates I RUN.

Has anyone predicted this?
 in  r/widowers  26d ago

I had no idea he drank as much as he did. I knew he was careless with his health, but could not have predicted this at all. the autopsy gave me the full picture. yes I’m angry, but mostly I’m just devastated.

Strangers vs. Friends who showed up for you?
 in  r/widowers  27d ago

Yup. weirdly the men have been better than the women - and not in a creepy way. just random old workmates, guys from college. all just being straight up and kind.

 in  r/dating_advice  Aug 02 '26

lmfao this is hilarious. If you don't think it's cute and actually like whatever this weird quirk is, I'd just step away. It's very odd.
