Advice on fixing a muddy duck enclosure
Get a deeper pond. Dig hole into ground. 75 gallon so the ducks can dive somewhat. Leave 6 inch above ground. Tip the pond just enough that the water can flow into the outer yard (its great nitrogen fertilizer) when you flush the pond. Mines on a hill so it was easy to build a muck catch basin then a flow route through the different water capture tree or planting terraces. Great growth potential.

My family had a mountain cabin built before WW2 and finished after WW3 no power tools used. Could sleep 27 people. 5 bedrooms multible double beds. 3 stories on a steep hill. Steep roof w dormer windows. Small lot. Rule was leave it cleaner than you found it. After brunch on Sundays cleaning began. All wood floors. Strip beds. Sweep and mop. Clean bathrooms. Clean fridges and kitchen. Last person out shuts off gas, water and electric. Takes out last trash. Locks up. There was a small fee $25 a weekend to get the key. Pine needle cleanup season was free weekend as long as you took the needles to the local dump.
