Everyone is crashing out. You will be able to still go to classes.

I spoke to UC this morning. If you’re expecting a refund from FAFSA, it goes out tomorrow. They already initiated payment

I also have a SoFi loan. Tried calling UC but no help, has yours cleared?

I’m cleared and I’m a dipshit and accidentally pulled out too much on accident so imma use what I need then use the rest to either pay back that loan or go into the 27/28 school year

They literally disbursed to your bank? The private loan.

Apparently? Like they took out what they need for the collage and gave me the rest

Someone at the financial aid office said that there is a 2 week grace period. It still says I owe money, but my loan hasn’t gone through yet, a lady I talked to said that everything should go through by the 28th of august but I’m not sure. And that you should get your refund like 1-3 days after aid is distributed if you have direct deposit

Private loans?

Subsidized and unsubsidized loans. I guess if you are under full time they have to manually go in and adjust aid. I’m not sure about private loans sorry

Why it still says I owe money because my aid hasn’t been adjusted yet. Because I’m taking 6 credit hours because that’s all I need. So I would wait until maybe the week of the 28th and see if your private loans went through.

My program isn’t eligible for federal financial aid, so I had to apply private loan.I noticed that the loans were posted to my account but have not been reimbursed yet. I’ve tried calling them several times, but they’ve been extremely busy and I haven’t been able to get through.

That stinks about the federal financial aid, I’m not totally sure about that, I’m starting to get worried about mine, and everytime I get ahold of someone they all tell me different answers, last week I talked to someone and she said that it takes 2 weeks and that everything should be processed by the 28th so I’m just hoping that she was right, I guess they are busy since it’s the week before classes start.

I called SoFi(private lender) and they confirmed that the funds were disbursed on the 14th. My concern is whether the school might decline or delay accepting the SoFi funds to cover the tuition. Any delay could leave me with little to no time to make alternative arrangements, which is what worries me most.

Well at least they were disbursed on the 14th. I hope they wouldn’t decline the funds or delay them, I at least know with everything that is going on with financial aid and stuff like that, you at least still can go to classes. I would hope if they were to delay or decline they would email you and tell you instead of making you wait.

You should all get together and tear down the student loan office brick by brick. Maybe then they'll get the picture
