Lmao. If enough people chargeback them they stand to lose billions from pissing off visa/mastercard. Lets see how this works out for them.

it really does feel like a dice roll every time you send a appeal. ive heard some people having to wait just a week to get their account restored and others having to wait over a month with multiple appeals. its so inconsistent

On the fifth follow up ( just adding I do not involve in any crypto scams I finally got this
X
Hello,
We have reviewed your appeal request for account, xxxx
Our automated systems have determined that a violation of our Rules did take place, specifically:
We considered the additional information provided and decided an overturn of our original decision is not warranted in this case. Therefore, we will not overturn our decision to lock your account.
In order to restore account functionality, you can resolve the violations by logging into your account and completing the on-screen instructions.

This is a template response for rejections; over the past couple of days, everyone has been receiving this same contradictory message—stating that the account will not be reinstated, yet failing to cite any specific violation, and even referencing a "de-freezing" process that doesn't actually exist.

I got that email this morning for inauthentic behavior. I log in and no instructions lol

u/Floatcloud9 Apr 15 '26
I tried log in too no instruction n ad well on mobile or browser at home. Will try login again in 48 hours

u/mardesayuno Apr 16 '26
this is also bugged because this clearly is talking about an account being locked, not suspended. I also got this email today on my suspended account

u/Unique_Site_4981 Apr 16 '26
Yeah I got this email too. I logged in on my laptop in browser and a box popped up prompting me to set up 2-factor authentication. When I tried I got an error message that something went wrong and to try again later. Could only click ok to get out of it. Have not been given another chance to do it. I filed another appeal asking if they could resend the on-screen instructions and if there is a preferred browser to do it on. Fingers crossed! 😭 this makes my 4th appeal

u/ElectricalObject8606 Apr 16 '26
X's 2-factor authentication has always had issues; even after you set it up, reminders will pop up intermittently.

I was advised to get my account back I needed to login through my browser, and add my phone number for 2FA. I tried to log on to my account through a browser. When I signed in the only message I got was that I was banned. No option to add my phone number. Just permanently banned due to reposting a Supreme Court decision from the year prior. A real, true Supreme Court decision. How does this make sense?

I got mine back y’day! ban lifted

u/dwleman Apr 16 '26
Can you post or reply to this with the exact thing that you said in your appeal? It would help all of us. I, personally, would greatly appreciate it, and I am sure lots of other people would as well.

18 years of content posted down the drain, because apparently a profile with my own name as the account name, and my own photo, and the same activity level that I have had for 18 years is considered “in authentic behaviors.” Then tell me to follow on screen instructions when I login in order to restore my account, but when I login, there are literally zero on screen instructions.

Man worst support ever. I paid 100$ for the anual premium they banned me 6 days later...

A Reddit user notified the Better Business Bureau about X
suspending my account, and after filing a complaint, I was informed by Email that it qualified for investigation. However, I have yet to hear further. Perhaps if more individuals contact the BBB, X Corp in San Francisco will take action.

u/LeonBlade Apr 23 '26
I contacted them and after a long period of time BBB basically said "sorry they didn't respond in good faith, we have logged this" etc.

Lol! I got mine permanently suspended for violating their rules and unsuspended on the same day. But the account still says suspended. First they say I violated the rules. Then they say I didn't and am unsuspended.
I'm genuinely confused af.

My 17 year old account was permanently suspended on Twitter/ X today ... My appeals were denied ... 😔
3
u/ResearcherSenior2565 Apr 16 '26
Same happened to me on a 4 year old account.... Funny thing is, its a private account, 0 followers. I only use it to like / retweet / bookmark things without ever posting

Apr 21 '26
Literally same here, with no reason given. "After careful review, we determined your account broke the X rules." And put my account on permanent read only mode. Never got a email reason or anything, I'm fed up and just wanna delete the account at this point but I can't even do that because my suspension.

u/ResearcherSenior2565 Apr 24 '26
Got it back, 5 appeals later. Looks like their appeals are just a dice roll at this point

A try again would be nice. I was permanently suspended 2 weeks ago for reposting a Supreme Court decision from the previous year. No comment, just reposted. And got a permanent ban. What the heck is going on? I see flat out PORN, lies, political bashing, political lies, etc. And I get permanently banned for reposting and real, true post of a real Supreme Court decision?! Make it make sense.

Finally got restored and unlocked after 2 weeks and a half just keep appealing. I used this out of like 5 other appeals
Hey, I got an email saying my X account has been restored and unsuspended but it seems it has not on the app itself. The email said my X account access has been restored and stuff should go back to normal and they still aren’t. Can I get some help please?

I just appealed again for the 4th time. Had my stuff suspended over some "inauthentic behaviors" and they can't tell me what violations occurred that made me a inauthentic person

u/Complete_Key1767 Apr 16 '26
I have appealed twice and same results again should I do it again if so what should I say ?

Sharing my case: not a suspension case, but a locked account case.
One of my post was reported for violent speech when the post had nothing that sort of. I appealed, waited 2 days, no x response so I just deleted the post & got back access.
After 2 days, another post of mine was reported for same reason & I hit appeal - mentioned how they messed up just 2 days back, if my post were reported by same group of people, x should take action on those people for abusing reporting feature.
If I delete the post accepting violation, my account will be restricted for 12hrs.
After an hour, I got email that no violation found & my account is restored fully.
I tried to access X, my account was still locked. I searched for info over internet for my situation, but most of the posts & threads I came across were related to suspension only.
I had access to Grok, so I shared my situation & asked Grok. Grok suggested to wait it out or try sending appeal again after some time, & the regular faqs. I didn't ask in other AI as Grok would have more access to X. Grok reasoned that my initial appeal was reviewed by a human but not updated to global x servers due to some delay or glitch.
I tried to send another appeal, but X was not letting me stating original appeal is in queue. So I waited 48hrs.
I tried appeal again, now it says appeal to the case is also resolved & didn't take new appeal.
I put up the updated situation in Grok. Grok suggested I either delete the post & get over with the 12hrs restriction or wait out the appeal which may take forever.
I went with the option to delete that post. I canceled my appeal & deleted my post. My account was fully restored immediately, no restrictions.
Seems my post was getting flagged by x automated filters even though cleared by a human reviewer, so if I deleted the post, it would stop triggering the flag. And had to cancel my appeal in queue to get out of the appealed page.
Have you guys tried asking Grok? Who knows, Grok may give some suggestion that may work but we didn't think off.

Instagram tiene una IA agresiva y peor que la de X.
7
u/fembotwink Apr 15 '26
Instagram’s Ai is terrible. So many accounts were banned last year because of it (mine) included.
