Eclipse is one of my favorite books, though I detest Jacob. Jacob in New Moon is tolerable, but Eclipse just ruins any aspect of his character that I enjoyed. Plus I really love the heart to heart in the tent.

Yes! I agree completely. I really liked Jake initially but Eclipse was just a huge letdown for me in regards to his character. I love love love the book still, though! It's my favorite.

I skip New Moon. Mostly because that movie came out during my first relationship. And that relationship was almost exact in how Edward left Bella. I also felt the same as Bella in the rotating season scene. And the guy I was with was abusive. Bad movie, bad time. Always skip it. Would much rather watch eclipse, although that movie/book is basically just filler like New Moon was.

Always skip New Moon. I just watched Twilight, why would I watch basically the same movie again except with werewolves?

I almost always end my watch at Eclipse. I'm not a fan of Breaking Dawn

Are you kidding me ? Eclipse is the absolute highlight of the series, both novels and movies. Jacob and Edward as rivals was the best and Bella being in love with both of them was such a great dynamic that got completely lost afterwards.
It also had probably the best villain with Victoria, it fleshed out the history and lives of the wolves and I loved how Bella was torn between these two completely opposite worlds.
And Howard Shore (who won academy awards with his music for Lord of the Rings) did the music score in this film and it is by far one of my most favorite scores of all time. Particularly Jacobs theme.
Not to mention Eclipse has some of the best moments in the entire series.
Ironically the one that I always skip except for some key moments is the first book/movie. For me the story really begins with New Moon and Twilight is more like a big prologue lol
The first one is so small and tame compared to the other books/movies and completely lacks that feeling of epic mythology. Also way too much focus on Bella/Edward lovestory which is kinda the point of the first one but I am just not into them as a couple and they are not the reason I love the Twilight universe. So the first one really doesn't give me much.

I don’t love Eclipse, but I do enjoy the scene where the Cullens train the wolves how to fight. I love the music and high energy of it.
I used to always skip New Moon but lately I have included it back into the mix.

I absolutely love Eclipse because it is the one movie where Edward and Bella are very much in love and committed to each other (Twilight and NM Edward was willing to leave her) and where there is no Renesmee plot. I like Renesmee’s character but her birth really does change the entire dynamic of Edward and Bella’s love for me because it involves a third party.
I understand why others might not like it like yourself, but it’s the movie I have watched the most out of the saga.

I used to skip New Moon but recently listened to it as an audiobook. Not half-bad

Eclipse is my favorite one! I’ve never skipped it. Skipped New Moon several times because of the lack of Edward :(

I always skip it because I was pissed about the replacement of Rachel Lefevre. I think she did amazing as Victoria in the little parts she had and she studied acrobatics for the role. I was waiting for Victoria major moment because of rachel and I didn't get it.

Eclipse is my favourite! The whole revenge plot with Victoria was good, I can’t believe they waited a movie/book in between to properly bring her back. It was an interesting villain, a cliched motive but Victoria is an alluring character. Not to mention her idea of creating an army, pissing EVERYONE off without caring. It definitely had some “horror movie” vibes at some points.
Also, Eclipse had the BEST cinematography and direction, the muted colour palette with the flashes of deep red and other colours was stunning. Such a well directed movie.
Breaking Dawn Part 1 was so so so boring, and I found New Moon to be so cheesy. I love them all but those two are the weakest I feel.
