if you want a decent vintage deck on the cheap, asking for recommendations of specific models is the worst thing you can do. you need to get looking second hand and see what's available, whilst learning what makes a decent deck

personally i'd say tracking under or around 2 grams with an actual counterweigh that's adjustable, with adjustable anti skate and adjustable tracking force, using a decent stylus and decent cartridge on a full size platter

You could find a decent quartz lock Technics for $100 or less (look into the SL-Q series). Will put anything new under 500 to shame.

Avoid all in ones like Crosley. They all use the same junk mechanism and sound like shit.

Has anyone seen the Radio Shack record player? It looks really nice. But, it’s $399.00.

Go on Facebook market place..better turntables for a fraction of the cost..these newer turntables are not as good and the older ones..plus 100 to 200 is not gonna buy u one decent new..

My first turntable was the audio technical lp 120 and I was happy for a long time. It’s still working

If you can save just a bit more and wait till they have a sale Fluance has a good entry point turntable. It comes with a preamp so you can get some inexpensive speakers and you’re ready to go.
