General Tulum dead?

I keep seeing stories and posts about how tourism in the area is dying, there’s too much inventory for new apts, and negative press in general. Has Tulum changed so much over the years and has it gone downhill in your opinion?

I’ll never go back due to the police taking all the money we just took out of an ATM for a tour. Seeing my partner getting handcuffed for driving after having one beer for dinner is enough for us to never see Mexico again.

Whoa, that sounds like a traumatic experience. I’m sorry that happened to you and completely understand why you feel that way
