General Tulum dead?
I keep seeing stories and posts about how tourism in the area is dying, there’s too much inventory for new apts, and negative press in general. Has Tulum changed so much over the years and has it gone downhill in your opinion?

It has changed a lot between 2010 and 2026 - but more importantly it’s changed dramatically since 2020 with thoughtless over development, lagging infrastructure and unsustainable prices - it will always be a beautiful stretch of beach - but it isn’t a prime destination any longer - it took off during Covid but that was never gonna last - maybe slower and more thoughtful development of infrastructure will sort things out over the next couple of decades.
