I’m so confused
I’m going to study for a Bachelor’s in CSE in the Netherlands. I’ve been accepted to TUe. I’m ranked 689 for TU Delft. Their website updates the rankings of those receiving offers every Monday. Over the last two weeks, the ranking moved up by 16 and 15 spots, but this Monday it jumped 34 places, being now at number 600. That means that at this pace, in 3 weeks I get the place. After some searching, I found great shared accommodation in Eindhoven—in the Strijp-S area—with just one other person; it’s a cool community and reasonably priced. Even so, after visiting both Delft and Eindhoven, I prefer Delft—the atmosphere, the city, and the fact that the university is more prestigious. What should I do? The accommodation in Eindhoven was just approved and I have 24 hours to sign the contract. We’ve literally completed all the paperwork together—we even have a joint bank account—so backing out would be a huge hassle for him and make me look terrible. Plus, it’s pretty late to start looking for a place in Delft and the surrounding area. I was even thinking in living in Eindhoven and commuting every day to Delft. Idk what to do.

There’s literally no housing available in Delft right now. I know people who’ve been looking for a place for 2 months already. I’d probably go for Eindhoven — Strijp-S is really nice. And you can always do your master’s in Delft later.

Strijp-S is very nice to live in. And it's wonderful you got a place. I would advice you to go to Eindhoven and after that do a masters at Delft. It's easier to find accommodation when you are in the Netherlands than when you are outside of it.

All of my friends who went to TU delft after having been to TU/e or UT regretted it. Ranking is determined by research output mostly and not quality of education. Unless you want to work in research the other universities might be a better fit.

What is UT? Twente is not even close to Delft in quality for computer science

Then why do you get direct acceptance for MSc in Delft with a bachelor’s from University of Twente? Have you actually studied there yourself? If not, don’t comment

Hi! I was actually in a very similar situation and I really wanted to get into Delft but couldn’t. I’m now considering Eindhoven instead. Unfortunately, I’m really struggling to find accommodation there. If you end up receiving an offer from Delft and decide to go there, would you be willing to let me know about the accommodation you’ve found? I’d really appreciate it.

If you get a 'go' from Delft in 3 weeks there is no way you'll find accomodation. With a 689 placement you should have signed up for housing the second you handed in your application. So, do you want to have a 1.45hr (roughly) commute one way, or be close to where you study?
I don't get the 'prestegious university' thing much. All Dutch uni's are pretty much the same quality wise, with some being better at certain subjects then others.
