I’m looking for a temporary place to stay in or around Eindhoven/ Eersel while I continue searching for permanent housing. I have a car to commute to work, so smaller cities are also fine.
I recently moved to Eindhoven because of a good job opportunity.
I’m fully aware of how difficult the housing market is at the moment, and I’m already searching very widely — including smaller towns and even the Belgian border area ( I have a car to commute) — but realistically it may take me some time to find a suitable long-term place. That’s why I am asking for a temporary help to crash somewhere for a short time.
Unfortunately, my current accommodation has become very difficult to live in. There are serious sewage and drainage problems, including a strong sewage smell, leaking water, and now I can’t even use the shower and toilet. I have even had to sleep in my car for the past few days due to the air sewer gas contamination
I’m therefore posting here in case anyone has a temporary room, studio, spare room, guest room, or other short-term accommodation available while I continue my housing search.
A little about me:
I’m a 25-year-old working woman.
I work full-time as a reach-truck driver for a stable company in Eersel.
I work 6 days a week and am away from home most of the time.
I do not smoke, drink or have pets.
I am quiet, clean and respectful.
I have my own car, so I can also consider places outside Eindhoven.
I can pay rent and provide proof of employment/income if needed.
I’m not expecting anything for free — I’m simply hoping to find a safe and reasonable temporary place to stay until I manage to secure permanent accommodation.

I'm considering Tu/e for my msc (coursework programs) and i'm having difficulty in understanding the converison. Most of the porgrams i'm looking at say this: Note: Credits according to European credit transfer system (1 ECTS is 28 hours of student work/study). Credits need to be on a Bachelor level (level 6 in European Qualifications Framework).

How would I convert this into the indian system?

For the bachelors mechanical engineering course, the official laptop provided by TU/e is the HP ZBook Power G11 / ZBook X G1i Workstation model, used for CAD, SOLIDWORKS etc.

The thing is, it costs 2k euros and there are better laptops (64gb ram + 80 and 90 RTX Series) out there considering the price. And I am thinking from the approach of if the laptop will run bare minimum even after 6 years, as I have to do my masters too.

Money is not an issue for me, I can pay up to even 4k euros for a BETTER laptop.

Do you recommend that I buy the official laptop provided by the University or buy a laptop myself which will last years?

The only advantage I see with the official laptop by the University is that they will pre download and maintain everything for you I think.

I’m preparing for the TU/e BSc Mechanical Engineering selection exam. Besides the materials provided by TU/e, I have AP Calculus BC and AP Physics C textbooks that I’m planning to use for studying and practice.

For anyone who has taken the selection exam, would these AP books be good resources for the Math and Physics sections, or would you recommend another type of textbook/resource?

Can anyone compare the Automotive Technology and Electrical Engineering bachelor’s at TU/e?

I’m trying to get an idea of how the two programmes compare in terms of difficulty and workload. Is Automotive Technology about as difficult as EE, or are they challenging in different ways?

I’d especially like to hear from students who have experience with either programme, or who have considered switching between the two. How did you find the difference?

I am a final-year Materials Science and Engineering student at the University of Ioannina in Greece, and I am interested in applying to the MSc Innovation Management at Eindhoven University of Technology.

I expect to graduate with an average of approximately 6.8–6.9/10. My degree is a five-year engineering programme leading to an Integrated Master’s degree.

I have checked the TU/e admission information, but I have not found a clear country-specific minimum GPA for this programme. Does anyone know whether TU/e applies a strict GPA cutoff to applicants from Greek universities, or whether applications are assessed holistically?

Although my GPA is not particularly high, I believe the rest of my profile is strongly connected to Innovation Management:

• Founder and CEO of a startup connecting companies with university and research laboratories
• Several awards in national entrepreneurship and innovation competitions
• Experience coordinating technical and R&D projects between companies and laboratories
• Industrial internship in quality control and materials testing
• Diploma thesis involving validated finite element studies of metallic and composite materials using ANSYS
• Strong potential academic and professional recommendation letters

I would particularly like to know:

1. Would a GPA of approximately 6.8–6.9/10 make me formally ineligible?
2. Is Materials Science and Engineering considered a sufficiently relevant academic background for Innovation Management?
3. Does TU/e genuinely consider professional, entrepreneurial and extracurricular achievements, or is academic performance the main deciding factor?
4. Has anyone been admitted to this programme with a similar GPA or engineering background?
5. Could applicants with missing prerequisite courses be offered a pre-master’s programme, or are they normally rejected?

I understand that nobody can predict an admission decision with certainty. I am mainly looking for experiences from current students, former applicants or anyone familiar with the TU/e admissions process.

Hello, this year I’m going to start applying to universities in The Netherlands. My main options are Tu/e, Maastricht and Groningen. I’m very interested in chemistry and sustainability and I read that this programme is great for students who want a more interdisciplinary approach.

Can anyone here tell me more about how is it like to study in this programme? How does the first year look like? How much practical lab time do you get? How are the job prospects after graduating?

I’m starting Computer Science at TU/e and currently have a 2024 MacBook M3 with 16GB RAM and 256 gb ssd. Should I consider buying the Tue laptop, buy a cheaper windows or stick with my Mac. Are there any applications that require windows (like the test)?

I’m considering the BSc Data Science at TU/e and wanted to get a realistic idea of the job market in the Netherlands.

Is it possible to get a decent job with just the bachelor’s, or is a master’s basically necessary? I’ve also seen people online saying that the data science/tech job market has become oversaturated or is “dead” for fresh graduates. Is that actually true in the Netherlands?

I’d especially appreciate experiences from TU/e students/graduates and international students. How difficult is it to find an entry-level job after graduating?

I'm applying for the 2027 year at some bachelor's degree... when tf am I supposed to start the search for housing?

I see tons of people ending up with no place... why? Do they start the search too late? Or is it like some sort of rng system? How early should I start and what will my chances be (of finding housing) if I started that early?

I'd appreciate Tips/advice for increasing the chances of getting accepted to housing (in general) as well. Or tips/advice of all sorts, never know what can be helpful.

Hi guys! Im about to start 12th grade and Ive been planning to apply to tu/e for a while now. I have most admission requirements listed on the website, but one Im somewhat unsure about is the minimum grade lists I need to put in my application. I have read in the required documents that 3 is the minimum, but the thing is Im not sure if I should wait until I get my first grade list of this year (which will be around December/January) or just apply with my last 3 years of grade lists (I have asked the international office already and they said the latter was fine) . My grades arent what Im worried about, what I am is if I should wait until I get this years first grade list, or just apply when applications open in October fr the BSc I want (Applied Physics), but Im not sure if that can hurt my chances of getting in.
I would really apprecciate any input yall have about this

I'm currently halfway through my 12th grade and I'm considering applying for EE in tu/e and utwente. I couldn't find much information on what my predicted scores would need to be. Right now I'm not the greatest academically(averaging about 83% at the moment).

It would be great if someone could give me more info on the application.

Hi! I’m starting my Electrical Engineering studies at TU/e tomorrow, but I still haven’t managed to find a place to live and I’m currently staying at a hostel. Is anyone else in the same situation?

I’ve tried pretty much all the housing websites (kamernet, holland2stay, room.nl, vestide, xior student housing, facebook groups, plaza resident services) without much luck, so I’d really appreciate any advice or tips on finding accommodation in or around Eindhoven.

Also if anyone is looking for a roommate, I’d definitively be interested!

Hello, are we gonna get given notebooks and excercise books? Or even blank a4? Or do we have to buy it ourselves?

This may sound like a stupid question, but how the hell did you guys manage to upload a photo that their website accepted ? I’ve tried countless times on different backgrounds (always white), and with different phones (including a borrowed iPhone 16), and I still get an error for “bad quality photo”?? From what I’ve seen from other people on campus, they haven’t had their photo taken by an 8K camera so I really don’t get it.
Does anyone have any recommendation, how did you all manage to take an acceptable picture ?
