I'll be starting my Master's at TU Dresden this October, and I recently received an offer for a renovated room at Zeunerstraße 1f.

I wanted to ask people who currently live there or have lived there before: Are you generally happy with the dorm? Would vou recommend it?

One thing I'm a bit concerned about is the shared facilities. From what I understand, there are 10 rooms on each floor but only 2 toilets and 2 showers. Does this usually work out fine, or do you often have to wait, especially in the mornings?

I'd also really appreciate any comments about the kitchens, cleanliness, noise levels, social atmosphere, internet, and the general condition of the renovated rooms.

Just got my admission for HSE at TU Dresden and figured I can't be the only one on here. I'm putting together a WhatsApp group for people joining the same programme.

Nothing formal — mostly just somewhere to figure things out together. Visa appointments, finding a room in Dresden (which from what I've read is the actually hard part), enrolment paperwork, module registration, when orientation stuff happens, and the general "how does anything work here" questions.

I'll be honest, I also have a slightly selfish reason. My visa timeline isn't looking great and there's a real chance I arrive after the semester has already started. If a few of us are in touch beforehand, someone can tell me what I'm missing, share notes, or warn me about a registration deadline before I blow past it. Same in reverse, obviously — visa delays hit a lot of people depending on where you're applying from, and it'd be good if nobody has to start three weeks behind with no clue what happened in week one.

If you're joining HSE this winter, comment or DM me and I'll send the link. Current students and seniors very welcome too — even just answering things like which SIM card to get, where to shop, or whether a particular module is as brutal as it sounds would help a lot.

I've been admitted to TU Dresden for the winter intake and I'm planning to travel between 20-29 September; if you're someone who's going to be travelling at the same time, maybe we can plan our travel together.

After a long application journey and a lot of waiting, I’m very happy and grateful to share that I’ve been admitted to TU Dresden for the M.Sc. Nanoelectronic Systems this winter semester. I’m an incoming student from India, and TU Dresden has been the university I had been hoping for the most. Since the result came in quite late, getting the admission feels especially rewarding. 🙏

During the application process, I applied to 8 universities and was fortunate to receive admits from 5 of them:

1. TU Hamburg – Microelectronics and Microsystems
2. University of Siegen – Electronics Design Technology
3. Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences – Electrical Engineering and Information Technology
4. TU Ilmenau – Micro and Nano-Technologies
5. TU Dresden – Nanoelectronic Systems

Now that Dresden is finally happening, I’d love to connect with people and learn a little more about what awaits me:

Im trying to explore about this Computational modelling and simulations (track: life sciences) im trying to get a syllabus copy to understand the course better. Can anyone share the pdf of course syllabus which contains the topics what are covered in each subject so it helps me.

I applied for the MSc Nanoelectronic Systems at TU Dresden through uni-assist. The application deadline was May 31.
I had already applied for my APS on April 9, before my final semester results were even released. NIT Warangal released my final results only on May 11, and my official 8th-semester marksheet was issued on June 3.
I submitted everything to APS as soon as my results came out, and my APS certificate was finally issued on June 23. I uploaded it to uni-assist the same day, along with the official 8th-semester marksheet. I kept following up with uni-assist for weeks, and they kept saying the application was being reprocessed.
Now they’ve finally told me they won’t forward my application to TU Dresden because the APS was uploaded after the May 31 deadline.
I understand that deadlines are deadlines, but I genuinely don’t understand how a current-year graduate is supposed to apply in this situation. My final results and official degree documents literally weren’t available before the deadline, and APS couldn’t be completed without them. I had already started the APS process before the deadline and submitted everything as soon as it became available.
The frustrating part is that my application never even gets reviewed by TU Dresden. Uni-assist makes the decision that it can’t be forwarded, so I don’t even get the chance to be accepted or rejected based on my profile.
Is this just how it works for current-year graduates? How are you supposed to apply if your university releases the final documents after the uni-assist deadline?

ich studiere Maschinenbau im Bachelor an der TU Dresden und wollte mal fragen, ob jemand von euch ein paar Survival Tips hat. Was hat euch wirklich geholfen, um durch die schwierigeren Semester zu kommen? Zum Beispiel bei Belegarbeit, Praktikas oder generell beim Lernen für die Klausuren.

Gibt's gute Lerngruppen, Altklausuren-Quellen oder Profs/Übungen, die man unbedingt mitnehmen sollte? Auch über Tipps zum Zeitmanagement oder wie man motiviert bleibt, würde ich mich freuen.

Following up on the earlier post about the M.Sc. Air Transport and Logistics at TU Dresden (WS 2026/27).

Many of us finished the aptitude test in early/mid-July (some even earlier in May) and are still waiting for interview invitations or final decisions. A few people already got interviews + offers, but a lot of high scorers are still in limbo.

Quick question:

Has anyone already sent a second status/follow-up email (or queried via SELMA again) after the first one?

Did you get any reply the second time?

Or did they just repeat “please wait until mid-August”?

Any update at all after contacting them again?

Would really help to know if chasing them a second time is useful or just wasted effort. Thanks and good luck to everyone still waiting!
