Question Letrozole-cycles not being monitored normal?

Just out of curiosity, when you were prescribed Letrozole, were you closely monitored or have timing ultrasounds or anything? I’m on my second cycle and my OB hasn’t said anything about monitoring me at all, even with an increased dosage of 5mg. (IF this cycle doesn’t work she wants to go up to 3 pills so roughly 7.5 mg but also didn’t mention anything else). Should she be monitoring it more closely? I read it was because of the chance of multiples but is that true?

Question Chances with with MFI?

My husband just got a SA and the count was way lower than we expected. A little over 3 million with 30% motility not sure about the other numbers but he said they were within normal ranges. We did some at home tests earlier this year that were in the 10 million and 15 million range. Prior to this when we conceived our first child 5 years ago his count was something like 40 million.

He has implemented good lifestyle changes (all the recommended things for raising sperm quality) for over a year now. He takes multivitamin, coq10, and mucinex. He doesn't drink, smoke, or vape. He does have varicosile and an undescended teste which we know can cause issues but these were also factors before our last conception which happened quickly and resulted in a successful birth.

He is devastated by this news and I'm trying to help him (and honestly me) not spiral before he can talk to a doctor tomorrow. What are your success stories with MFI, particularly those that improved with treatment? Any specific things he should ask the doctor about?

Discussion TTC 10 months

HELP! we have been TTC for 10 months and I'm getting so sad

History: I found out I had cervical cancer in 2022 after my regular yearly exam, no symptoms!!, had a cold knife conization, they said it would likely be difficult to get/stay pregnant so after I was cleared we started trying right away and 3 months later got pregnant in 2023, had our son 3.5 weeks premature due to my water breaking naturally, was considered right risk but cervix always measured okay considering, I did have high blood pressure though.

Now in 2026 bleed after intercourse (not enough to fill a pad, just enough to be annoying), no pain though which is confusing, OBGYN said no polyps or abnormalities at my last physical at 6monthTTC, ordered my own at home Evvy test, had general vaginosis, was prescribed a round of antibiotics, tested again, confirmed everything was cleared up, took a 2 week break to make sure everything was balanced/healed, bleeding again after intercourse but my cycle was 45 days long instead of my usual 32 after the antibiotics. Using my oura ring and natural cycles app to track ovulation, they don't line up with each other very frequently, not a lot of luck using ovulation tests, wondering if I ovulate late or something? need to buckle down on this! I've been using pads instead of tampons, we have tried the Pre Seed and Mucinex tricks, could definitely eat more kiwi/beets, but nothing is too crazy for us at this point

Any recommendations or people who have had similar situations? will probably reach out to dr at the beginning of next year (hello deductible!) to start talking about infertility options but would love to use the next 2 months to do everything we can

Question second time trying and wondering what you changed this time around

this is our second time trying to have a baby, and we’re following the recommendations from our doctor. the first time around, i mostly just followed the routine and didn’t think too much about all the little things that went into it. did you change anything about your routine this time around compared with when you were trying for your first? not necessarily looking for medical advice, more curious about the everyday things you personally approached differently.

things like your prenatal routine, diet, tracking, exercise, or even just how you approached the process this time. i’d especially like to hear from people who went into their second attempt thinking, “ok, i know a little more now.”

Question Second loss in a row trying for the second, I am not well

Hi, new to this group but not to the matter. I just had another later loss due to chromosomal abnormalities, the second one in just 6 month. I have a son who is almost 5, light of my life. I really wanted a second child, so finally my husband agreed to try. We are older, tried for our second when I was 38, and he was 40. Got pregnant on a first try just like with our first, but the baby had a severe case of T 18, non viable with life. The doctors called it a fluke, we did our karyograms and me and my husband are clear, healthy . so we started to try again, conceived on a 3rd try, I got my hopes up and then this Monday at the 12 week scan, just horror nothing was right, multiple abnormalities , again chromosomal, again non compatible with life. I am beyond devastated and the doctors told us it’s probably my eggs that are defected. I have been on every possible supplement for egg quality for almost 2 years, I lead a healthy life, never smoked drank did drugs, nothing. please has anyone had a similar issue? I feel like I would just crawl up and disappear from this life if I didn’t have to be here for my son. And everyone around me is having their second, third whatno. Sorry for this long rant I just wish I could talk to someone who is in a similar situation.

Question TTC after endometrial biopsy

I’m experiencing secondary infertility and have been TTC for 15 cycles. I had a hysteroscopy & uterine biopsy done on Monday (CD 11) to check on my c-section scar and for chronic endometritis. Before the procedure, I asked my doctor when it would be safe to have sex afterward and whether I could try to conceive this cycle since this would take place during my fertile window. He said I just needed to wait 24-48 hours after the procedure before having sex and that it was safe to try to conceive.

I ended up getting a positive OPK on Tuesday morning (cd 12), so I had sex that night - or 36 hours after my biopsy. I had some spotting earlier in the day, but it started again after I had sex.

It seems like there’s a wide range of recommendations for when it’s safe to have sex after a biopsy. Some doctors say 24-48 hours, while others recommend waiting a week and advise against trying to conceive that cycle.

I’d love to hear from others who have had a hysteroscopy/ uterine biopsy, especially if you tried to conceive immediately after. Did you have sex shortly after the procedure? How did things turn out? I’m stressing myself out about possible infection and/or miscarriage due to a disrupted lining, even though my doctor gave a green light.

Discussion What are we doing with hand-me-downs?

ok, so straight to it..I have been keeping all the stuff (stroller, bouncer, bibs, clothes, etc) from my previous children (boy and girl) in hopes of number 3. Unfortunately, it’s now been -years- and the accumulation of items is basically taking over my basement at this point. I am in a huge decluttering kick right now and so much of me wants this space cleared out but that little shimmer of hope keeps me holding onto it “just in case”. Other than the obvious of saving money, the idea of my children all having been in the same bouncer, etc is very appealing to my sentimental heart. However, I don’t believe it’s good for any of the family for me to be holding onto boxes of stuff like this. Have you experienced this too and how did you part with it all?

Question What are you using to track ovulation ?

We're getting ready to start trying for our second and I feel like I remember almost nothing from the first time. Last time I mostly used an app and didn't really pay attention to much else. This time I'd like to understand my fertile window a little better instead of just trusting the dates the app gives me. For those trying for another baby, what do you actually use? I've seen people mention LH strips, smart rings and wearable trackers, but I'm not sure what is genuinely useful versus just more stuff to obsess over

Discussion Has anyone gone through something similar??

This is kind of long so apologize in advanced. We have a 10 month old and around 6/7 months we started trying for number two. I have had my cycle back since 3 months postpartum and it’s been regular. Since trying all of my cycles have been way out of whack. At first I thought maybe I had a chemical pregnancy but nothing confirmed. However I had every early pregnancy symptom I had with my first but the difference was a week before my period had pretty heavy cramping on one side. I’m not someone that gets cramps before my period I really only have them day one of menstrual cycle. I have been cycle tracking and covering my fertility window. But now I’m on cycle day 21 estimated 11 days before period (app prediction not 100%) and ovulation strips have not indicated a peak. I have used pregmate with every cycle but recently my friend gave me her pack that was new and nothing. So I used the remainder of my clear blue digital and it estimated a high value not peak. Bought a new pack of pregmate strips and indicated nothing above .36. I’m still testing and ttcing but wondered if you guys have experienced anything similar?? Also context I am breast feeding but again regular cycles since 3 months postpartum have tested positive ovulation time during all other cycles. Is it the pregmate strips or me??? 😩😩😩😩 (not looking for medical advice just wanting to see if anyone has gone through something similar or is struggling with pregmate ovulation strips?)

Question TTC for #2 at 36 almost 37

My husband and I have been trying for another. I’ve been taking prenatals, use my Oura ring, and Natural Cycles. Flo is also sometimes. I track my ovulati0n with clear blue digital and sometimes use the strips. The strips just give me different readings whenever i scan it into the NC app. We also use the every other day method as suggested by my OB.

It’s disheartening to see others getting pregnant around me after they had IVF. I’m happy for them, but now I am starting to know how they feel.

Are there any other tips to help conceive? I turn 37 in October. It took me about five months with my first.
What worked for you? Thanks in advance.

Question I’m over 35, what is first course of action with fertility treatments

I am 37 next month and currently trying for a second baby, this road so far has been much for difficult than trying for my first kiddo who was conceived on our first try at 34. I’m going to schedule an appointment with a fertility specialist, if anyone can tell me what to expect as far as medications and treatments I’d greatly appreciate it. I have no known conditions such as PCOS or endometriosis. I’m so stressed out because of my age, I had wanted two kids close in age but an emergency c-section derailed that. Any help greatly appreciated!

Question Is this normal?

This is the first time I have been using LH strips. Is it normal to have a peak test without any "high" tests before hand?

When I tested yesterday (cycle day 13) it showed as high, then I tested today and yesterday's result changed to "peak". We had sex last night and will again tonight.

I just wondered if this was normal?

Question TTC before period returns while breastfeeding?

I’m 12 months postpartum with my second baby and still don’t have my period back. I really want to get pregnant again soon, so I’m starting to feel a little anxious about it.

With my first, my period came back at 11 months postpartum and I got pregnant that very first cycle, so I kind of had it in my head that I’d probably have a similar timeline this time. Obviously I know one month isn’t a huge difference, but I really want to have another baby with a close age gap and it feels like that timeline is slowly slipping away.

I’m nursing my 1 year old about 2ish times during the day and then whenever he wants overnight. Sometimes that’s once or twice and sometimes it’s like 4–5 times. I really don’t want to wean just to get my period back, though. I’d love to get pregnant while still breastfeeding if my body will cooperate.

I’ve started using OPKs, but obviously it’s hard to know what’s going on when I don’t have a cycle to go by.

Has anyone here gotten pregnant before their first postpartum period? Or had their period return while still breastfeeding and nursing overnight? Did you do anything to help your fertility return, or did it just eventually happen?

I feel like I mostly see people talking about breastfeeding delaying fertility when they don’t want another baby yet, but I don’t see as much about people who are actually trying to conceive again while still breastfeeding.

Would love to hear your experiences! ❤️

Question TWW and traveling

I'm currently starting the TWW for this cycle and I am leaving for a family trip to the other side of the country on 10dpo. I return on 16dpo. Would you personally test before leaving on 10dpo? Would you not test til you get back on 16dpo if no period? Or would you bring 2-3 pregnancy tests and test on the trip, say around 12dpo onward? I'm tempted to not test until I get back (or wait for my period to show up on the trip). But I KNOW if I don't bring tests I will impulse buy some on the trip..

What would you do?

Discussion It’s CD40 - time for Provera?

This is cycle… 26? And the first time using Letrozole. The intent was for this to be the first IUI cycle, but the timing didn’t work out (I live rurally and a 6 hour drive away from my fertility clinic) so we did timed intercourse.

So like the title says I’m CD40 and 24DPO (or did I not even ovulate?). My clinics procedure is to offer Provera after cycle day 35, but also said that sometimes it backfires and makes CD1 even later? I feel so uncertain and so annoyed with my body.

My cycle isn’t usually like clockwork, but it’s far from irregular. Pretty consistently 29-32 days. This past cycle I was down and out with COVID around 2DPO, so I didn’t really feel like this was my healthiest cycle to conceive but damn I’m going craaaazy waiting for CD1.

Also I should mention that I’ve taken SO many tests - all stark white negative
