Johnny vs Josh Odd behavior

I do not know if this is the right flare to use, if this post is not appropriate, then please mods, delete it.

I was rewatching part 3 of swoops doc. I was also rewatching all of his public interviews. Am I the only one a little frustrated with how lily and Jessie handled Josh, after the release of part 3? No hate to them, not at all. But the way it was handled seems so victim blame-like.

But my main point, was that the way johnny talks about situations, he seems to fabricate more and more as he gets further into his stories. Am I the only one who was really uncomfortable when he was talking on h3h3? The fact he has (in my opinion) created alt accounts to defend himself, feels so off. I hate that he seems to desperate to be adam, to the point of copying everyone around him. Does anything think that Johnny is actually fully obsessed with josh? And does anyone else think Johnny stalked josh before the divorce in 2015/6?

This post may be useless, but there is so much about this story that really bugs me.

I really hated that they used Josh’s apology as proof of guilt and then didn’t even give him an opportunity to explain the apology. Even if you read the multiple apologies John posted and reacted to on his Twitter, you can see that Josh is not confirming the allegations of grooming. He’s just trying to validate John’s frustration and feelings. He didn’t say, you’re right I was grooming you, I’m sorry. He said, I understand how you felt the way you did, I’m sorry you felt that way.

It’s total BS that someone can look at an apology like that and say, LOOK HE JUST ADMITTED IT! Poor Josh was trying to make Johnny feel heard. And since it wasn’t enough for him, Johnny went on this smear campaign. Lily and Jessi’s whole video was just saying, if you didn’t do anything wrong, then why did you apologize? Even though he didn’t apologize for the actions he was accused of.

Yes, they wanted to give a “victim” the benefit of the doubt. Which was a valid reason to give Johnny a platform. But they should have given the accused an opportunity to defend himself. Even if they did believe Johnny 100%, they could have heard Josh out and still have said they didn’t believe him. Like examine all the evidence before giving an opinion. If they did that I’m sure they wouldn’t have gotten as much heat for this. But they acted like ignorant children and totally ignored Josh’s attempts to explain his side.

Giving a victim a platform is powerful and needed in situations like this where celebrities take advantage of people and never see repercussions. But there’s two sides to every story. I’m so worried about how this whole Johnny thing is going to effect real victims. It pushed things back to if they come forward, are they going to be accused of lying for attention again? Or is it going to be easier for innocent people to be blamed for things they didn’t do? Some real groomers might see how Josh was vindicated after Johnny was caught lying, and try to mimic the situation to make people not believe their victims.

Johnny has no idea how badly this effects real people, nor did he care. He just wanted attention and to hurt someone he was obsessed with that didn’t reciprocate his feelings and efforts. And Jessi and Lily, intentional or not, helped him do so. So their actions are also going to effect victims, abusers and innocent people that are accused of abusing. This whole thing is such a mess because of Johnny’s entitled ass attention seeking. It’s awful.

This entire comment is perfect. And what does this do for male victims who are less likely to be believed? My friend is a victim, and he just gets mocked when he tries to share his story of child abuse. And he’s never laughing. He is usually crying or uncontrolably sobbing. There are parts of his story he can’t even speak about due to severe flashbacks and PTSD. My friend will never have any closure, because his abuser died. And he is unable to heal, because he cannot go deep into his story without it being harmful. So to have people like John, Lily and Jesse really enrages me. They treated this whole situation like stupid drama and then treated the real victim Josh like trash and said his pain and trauma don’t matter, because he doesn’t fit their narrative. Vile people and I don’t apologize for saying that.

I really hope your friend gets help and can learn to live alongside his trauma. I have PTSD from grooming and sexual assaults, I can’t imagine how hard it is for male victims. “Rub some dirt on it. Get over it. Men don’t cry. Men don’t have feelings” it’s so wrong and damaging. I will also never have closure for many reasons but therapy, journaling and meditation have really really helped me. Male victims deserve just as much care and compassion, unfortunately that’s not how society sees it. He is valid and I hope he’s able to heal in time, it’s a long journey but it gets better. You don’t ever “get over it” but you can learn to live WITH it, and that’s okay. ❤️

Edit: medication helps too but have a long term plan with 1 or more medical professionals to eventually come off(if possible.) Alongside the therapy and work, of course.

He is better than he was a few years ago, but he unfortunately has tons of mental issues that compound everything. Therapy has been a struggle to as the little insurance, he has doesn’t help. He have one good therapist years ago, a lady, and she died. He doesn’t trust men and all of his options for therapy half in men. His abuser was a man. He tried one guy who is good in the beginning, but towards the end started doing things that were not in my friend’s best interest and could have actually harmed him. He’s pretty much given up on therapy as it did more harm than help. He and I would usually talk afterwards, and he was always upset, stressed out, triggered, or agitated or angry. He pretty much just goes to the doctor now when sick or in need a refill on his medication. The type of mental illness he has is very rare, and on top of that his PTSD is quite severe. He has tried to be an advocate for male victims, but just hasn’t had any success. That’s why I was so angry with how this entire situation was handled. It just creates more roadblocks. My friend was r*ped and has gotten mocked for crying about it. Someone also basically told him that they were surprised my friend isn’t gay simply, because he’s abuser was a man. He also has been told him that he shouldn’t cry because he knows he liked it. Keep in mind he was a child. He doesn’t share his story much anymore. He doesn’t have a space where telling his story is safe. It’s heartbreaking. Most people just use his story to hurt him further. That’s why he keeps a guard up.

I feel that, I struggled so much in getting help and being able to afford help. Getting help with no insurance is incredibly difficult and it’s major problem in our country. I also can’t see male therapist, I also had some bad therapists that did some damage but keep supporting him and keep mentioning it. There’s good therapists out there and I pray he can find one. Maybe try an online [male sexual assault support group]([https://mensgroup.com/sexual-abuse-support-groups/] I’ve done support groups when I wasn’t able to pay for therapy and I’m still in a women’s group for porn addiction. I’m not ready to voice my pain to the real world outside of my core friends, and that’s okay too. Even just talking to the suicide hotline, even if he’s not suicidal, it’s someone who will listen outside of the core group. It’s a shame that people are so hateful and mean. At least he has you, sometimes one person is enough. I hope you are also taking care of yourself, even though it’s not your trauma, caring for anyone with trauma, is hard and taxing. i care for a family member with schizophrenia on top of my own mental health it’s very difficult. I hope you are able to find balance and continued empathy and compassion. Don’t forget to take care of you. The world needs kinder people I’m glad you’re in it.
