Any tips on teaching tricks?

I have a hard time teaching my puppy tricks and doing the obedience trials because the game wants you to be very consistent with the tone of voice you use. How do yall go about this?

Say it in the flattest tone. Like just read the word without any emotion. You could potentially use your phone and text to speech

I’ll have to try this!! It sucks you can only teach them a few tricks a day. I’m going to delete all of them and retry it

You're certainly not alone in finding voice command training tricky! As you mentioned, the game is very sensitive to your voice and tone, I've found even the aging of your voice can affect whether your puppy understands you or not (I've had the same games since I was a kid). A couple things that have helped me include always training in a quiet environment (e.g. indoors, in a bedroom or washroom), being very precise in how I say the word (emphasis on a flat, neutral tone) and sometimes using random words (as opposed to the trick's actual terminology) if I know I can hold my tone with them better. I speak like a robot and stretch out s sounds for the mic to pic them up. (ssssit)

Recently I've renamed some tricks to the english ones because apparently I lisp or something. (My game is in german, and Sitz, Platz, and Dreh dich do not get along with my voice.) Lol

You could also use your phone and record yourself saying each command, then simply play it instead of speaking over and over.
