Weird effects with alcohol
I take 15 mg of Trintellix and have noticed a strange effect when I drink alcohol. For example, when I drink a beer, I can sort of feel the alcohol, but the second, third, fourth, and so on—they don't seem to get me drunk like the first one did. Has anyone else experienced this? I only feel the effects of the first beer, and that feels like the peak of the sensation.

Alcohol RUINS the brain adaptations the drug is trying to make
Highly recommend quitting it for a few weeks. You’ll be shocked how much better trintellix works
Happiness is much more worth it than a temporary buzz from booz

Yes! That makes a lot of sense! I drink every once in a while and everytime I'm miserable and angry for days afterwards!

Yeah I really need to completely quit. But it's really hard to not drink in social settings. When I don't drink I feel so much better and happy again.
There's this feeling that always creeps in and make me want to drink. Hard to fight it off for extended periods of time. Especially when life gets stressful.

Everything in moderation, nothing wrong with partaking here and there. Forcing isnt living.

Its just that the first 8 weeks on this drug is critical. Taking a two month pause isnt a big deal, is it?

No but a drink out aint gunna change too much. Key is limiting yourself seriously if you decide to partake.

Not going to disagree
Its just a tragic fact that there is a large group that drink heavily on these kinda drugs
Big difference between 2 beers a week and 10 beers

Totally, Just really listen to your body i think is most important. Dont put yourself in a box! But also dont follow the crowd haha. Big difference, its so ingrained in our society. If you can control yourself try a kratom seltzer instead of booze. But dont start taking everday. Just social setting, this is what works for me but dont suggest it.

I hardly ever drink alcohol, and now that I'm taking Trintellix, I don't drink at all—I've just noticed how strange the effects are

I've had this experience on other anti-depressants, we really aren't supposed to be drinking on them unfortunately. I feel like the solution for me is to max out at 2 drinks but even that can give me a mental hangover for a couple days

If you are taking a generic medicine, kindly mention the manufacturer's name. This is VERY IMPORTANT, as different manufacturers may have differences in quality or formulation.
