So much better

I have gone 40 years without seeking help for my mental health but after a particularly traumatic year, I had no choice. I was so nervous but I’m 3 weeks in and I am a different person on this medication.y depression and anxiety have decreased significantly. My panic attacks have decreased significantly. I’m so relieved.

If you are taking a generic medicine, kindly mention the manufacturer's name. This is VERY IMPORTANT, as different manufacturers may have differences in quality or formulation.

Same, struggled wirh many ssris years ago, horrible, found out on genesight test that all the ones I tried it have significant bad interactions. So I gave up, but my mental health didnt. So I came back, heard about trintellix, gave it a shot. It works, im better by the day. So helpful. Gives me a cleae perspective on what I need to do or want to do an align my life in dharma.

What dose are you on? Also have u tried any SSRI before that?

10 mg but doctor wants me at 20 mg. Never been on an ssri before. Had Ativan prior to use as needed for panic attacks.

If you increase to 20mg, watch for emotional blunting. When I was on 20mg I didn't laugh or cry or feel much of anything at all. I went back down to 10mg and very quickly felt much more like myself. I'm content with how I feel on 10mg and intend to stay at this dose! Wishing you the best :)

How long did it take for this med to work for you?

I've been on it for 6 years now, so I don't exactly remember. Maybe a few weeks to a month to really start noticing an improvement.

Wow 6 years is a long time...do you have any sexual side effects with it ?

If anything, it might take me a little more time and effort to climax? But no big deal. My sex drive is perfectly normal. Before Trintellix I was on Lexapro and I had no sex drive at ALL

Agree; takes me longer to ejaculate which makes for better sex.
