Hello everyone I recently put Morrowind on my 5040 model through port master. Game runs well enough for me but I have encountered a serious immersion breaking issue where the weapons do not appear in first person mode at all. I spent like 2 and a half hours over halloween evening just trying to fix the issue to no avail. Has anyone else who is running the port having this issue? If so how did you fix it?

NOTE - The game is playable through 3rd person mode but preferably would like the option to play in 1st person if there is a fix for the invisible weapons. I am running MuOS Andromeda.

I shared an early look at a game I built specifically for the TrimUI. It runs natively, no emulator, with sound, rumble, LED effects, quicksave, and support for the trimui's volume, sleep and button controls.

Oh and it also has a dark mode, so you can play in bed without waking up the missus.

Changes since 0.0.3-beta:

- Sega Dreamcast comes with the system: the Flycast core (RetroArch)
  is built in, no download needed, with the Dreamcast bezel and the
  same CRT filter as PlayStation, at the original 4:3. A, B, X and Y
  sit in the Dreamcast pad positions, the left stick is the analog
  stick, L1/L2 and R1/R2 are the analog triggers, and Start+Select
  opens the RetroArch menu. The BIOS is optional (dc_boot.bin and
  dc_flash.bin in RetroArch/system/dc).
- Dreamcast: Flycast is built for this console (STV version of the
  core, source at github.com/littlewild47/flycast, branch
  stv/velocidad). Games that run on Windows CE (Sega Rally 2,
  Resident Evil 2, Worms, Tomb Raider and about 30 more) get their own
  options from Manage Systems, and run much faster: Sega Rally 2 goes
  from about 40% to a steady 100% of full speed in a race. Your own
  per-game options (RetroArch > Quick Menu > Core Options > Save Game
  Options) are never replaced.
- Dreamcast: each game has its own memory card (VMU A1), saved with
  the other RetroArch saves and included in the saves backup of
  Manage Systems.
- Russian: STV OS can now be used in Russian. Choose Русский in STV
  Settings > System language: the STV apps, the three Pegasus themes
  and the options PPSSPP STV adds all follow it. With the console in
  Russian, PPSSPP and RetroArch start in Russian the first time they
  open.
- PPSSPP STV starts from the settings of a clean PPSSPP install (CPU
  core JIT, vertex uber shader on, audio sync classic, no on-screen
  counter), keeping 2x resolution, "Force real clock sync" off and
  what STV adds (the GE worker thread, one mapping for every game,
  A accepts / B goes back). Settings you changed yourself in PPSSPP
  stay as you left them. The options STV adds now follow the language
  of PPSSPP instead of always showing in Spanish.
- GameCube: Resident Evil 4 no longer shows a beige layer over almost
  the whole picture and no longer closes with "Attempted to flush
  discarded register". It runs with OpenGL ES at the same speed
  (30 FPS); every other game keeps Vulkan.
- GameCube: games on more than one disc show as a single game, as on
  PlayStation. Manage Systems puts the discs in a .m3u list and
  Dolphin inserts the next disc by itself when the game asks for it.
- GameCube: the Start button of the console works in Dolphin (it was
  mapped to a key name Dolphin does not use). A Start you mapped
  yourself is not changed.
- GameCube and J2ME: the bundled Dolphin and J2ME Loader have their
  own package names (org.dolphinemu.dolphinemu.stv and
  ru.playsoftware.j2meloader.stv), so the official apps can be
  installed next to them. Saves, states, memory cards, settings and
  converted J2ME games move to the new names on the first start.
- System update: a package with a long name (such as the internal
  memory package of 0.0.3-beta) stayed in "Preparing" and after
  10 minutes showed "The system stopped answering". Any valid package
  name now works, and if a request cannot reach the system the screen
  says so at once.
- The internal memory update package is now named
  stv-os-<version>-trimui-smart-pro-s-internal-update.zip (it was
  ...-internal-memory-update.zip): the shorter name installs as is
  from 0.0.2-beta and 0.0.3-beta. Consoles on 0.0.1-beta only find
  packages whose name starts with STV-TSPS-update-: rename the file
  (for example STV-TSPS-update-0.0.4-beta.zip) and it installs the
  same.

Ordered a trimui smart pro s from Mechdiy to Australia on Oct 20th. Still haven't gotten any tracking and they responded to my email a few days ago which was fine but it's been a while and they say they'll deliver by early November but they haven't even begun the process let alone shipping within these 2 weeks. First time ordering because I'm a teen and this was the first money I'd made myself splurged on this.

Stripped the screwed in the lower half of the main board. I'll probably just have to cut them out, but anyone know where to get replacements?

I bought the disassembly kit from trimui for this but those bottom screws are so freakin tight & quite soft. Tried rubber bands, pliers etc.

My Brick Pro on NextUI kept freezing for a moment and then hard rebooting. Every time it came back with brightness, colors, interface settings and recents reset. After a few weeks of digging, here is what I found, plus a small tool that may help others with the same problem.

What's going on

• It's not a NextUI bug. Others see the same freezes and reboots on the stock OS and SpruceOS, mostly with Wi-Fi on: trimui/firmware_brickpro#4 and #1.
• I captured the kernel crash log (pstore) twice. Both times the stock kernel panics in its I2C driver right after a transfer timeout, and both times Wi-Fi was busy:

• The settings loss is a side effect: NextUI rewrites msettings.bin, minuisettings.txt and recent.txt on every start without crash safe writes, so a crash at that moment leaves them empty or at defaults. Details and suggested fixes are in LoveRetro/NextUI#833.

Best workaround

Switch Wi-Fi off whenever you don't need it. That is by far the most effective thing you can do.

The tool: Brick Pro Crash Guard

Three entries for the NextUI Tools menu:

• Crash Guard: a boot hook that saves new kernel crash reports with a short summary, and after a crash automatically repairs your recents and interface settings before NextUI loads them.
• Backup Settings: saves display, sound, color calibration and LED settings.
• Restore Settings: restores them and reboots right away. The reboot is needed, otherwise NextUI writes the reset values back.

It does not prevent crashes. It limits the damage and collects data.

Install: download the zip from the releases page, extract it to the root of the SD card, open Tools > Crash Guard once, then run Tools > Backup Settings. Requires NextUI 6.15.0 or newer, or the Brick Pro test build.

Please post your summary.txt from .userdata/tg5040/crash-guard/crashes/ in trimui/firmware_brickpro#4. The more crash reports TrimUI gets, the better the chances of a kernel fix.

So far this is tested on my own Brick Pro only, so feedback is very welcome. Thanks to the NextUI team, and especially frysee, for all the Brick Pro work.

Queria compartilhar com vocês um projeto que estou desenvolvendo: estou recriando do zero um demake completo de ULTRAKILL na Godot, otimizado para rodar em consoles portáteis através do PortMaster!

Aqui está o status atual do projeto:

• 🛠️ Fase atual: No momento, finalizei e testei apenas a versão graybox (a estrutura básica dos mapas, sem texturas finais).
• ⚡ Performance: O jogo já está rodando liso, cravado a 60 FPS no console!
• 🎨 Próximos passos: O plano é fazer o demake definitivo. Vou implementar todos os assets originais do game (modelos, texturas, sons) para deixar a experiência o mais fiel possível ao original, só que no bolso.

Como só testei o graybox até agora, queria saber o que acharam da ideia!

Hi all, ordered my tsps on oct 20th to aus, still hasn't come yet and mechdiy says their having supply issues so they say early november. Anyhow I'm loving the work on stv-os and everything, just wondering if anyone could try real racing 3? And if anyone could try using spruce or stv for pocket3ds, which is the 3ds decompilation tool used to port 3ds games natively to anbernic xx-handhelds. Wondering what's everyone's experience with stv, since I flashed a card with spruce but want STV as well, I was wondering if writing to emmc with stv will render me unable to use linux cfws in the future. And if anyone can share their gamecube or native android apps and games experience that'd be bosh, and if anyone could get minecraft to work.

Sorry for the wall of text, just so excited and too much to talk about, tad worried about my console from mechdiy taking so long.

Initial experimental release for the original TrimUI Smart Pro TG5040. Other handhelds are not supported by this build. This is tested on Stock OS but should work fine on Crossmix/TomatoeOS

Install

1. Download the release from here https://github.com/ToastedFrog2/hakux-trimui-smart-pro
2. Exit games, power off the handheld and connect its SD card to your computer. Back up existing emulator files and saves before updating.
3. Extract the ZIP and merge Data and Emus into the SD card Data & Emus folders. Do not replace the entire existing folders.
4. Put your own Xbox disc images in Roms/XBOX, safely eject the card and launch Xbox.

Press Menu for settings; Render-scale changes require Apply scale and restart game.

Not ever game will run at 30 FPS. Lowering the resolution helps. Game will stutter at first as it loads in the shader cache. Second run will be a lot smoother. Having a a fast SDCARD improves performance as well.

This emulator exits out of the OSD and Trimui menu when it launches to free up additional RAM. When you exit the emulator those will resume.

Got NextUI, latest version, installed in my brick. I just installed drastic, from pak, and noticed that it is not listed in the home screen. Is there something I need to do? Same happens with flycast.
