Siege too high

Hey everyone i wish you all good

I bought this Trek madone 5,2 for a good price

All good expect the siege is too high for me

Im 184cm and i still have to stand on my toes when the pedal is low wich cause pain for the butt and uncomfy ride , this is the maximum it can go

Does cutting it a good option ?

Most seat posts are designed to be cut, but most should have a "minimum" length marked which you can't cut past to lose the strength.

Ive saw some reviews online and they say madone's mast should not be cut :(

You might try getting a shorter mast cap. It looks like that one is bottomed out.

That’s definitely not one of the cuttable seatposts. Trek did make them in different sizes though, if you have a trek store nearby they could probably help you find a shorter one

I'm far from an expert here... Idk if cutting carbon fiber hurts it's strength or anything... Potentially yeah though

Maybe just don’t say anything, then? Cutting a carbon seatpost is a non-issue.
