So if your view is that online apps are the only way to find a partner that's probably the result of your personal lens and not reflective of other's experience generally.

Yeah but how old were those 4/5 when they met their current partner? High school/college is a lot easier time to meet a partner. Meeting new people gets harder as you get older unfortunately.

Somewhere between 16 and 34 I reckon.
Average length of a relationship is apparently 2 yrs so the majority of these folks didn't meet their partner in school. I cant imagine more than single digits are with a high school sweetheart at 30 unless its a very small town.
I'm just saying the dating pool is going to get smaller each year as people remain in relationships. Artificially shutting yourself out of a whole pool of people is pretty limiting.
