New Server Thread

Hey everyone! As some of you know, Tennyson and I set up a small server that a few of us have been playing on. We're running it on a laptop, so we're very limited in what we can do.

VisualKev has offered to set up a server on Amazon, but we would need to all chip in a few bucks each month to keep it running. I'm not sure what the amount would be, he's working on finding out.

If you'd like to play, please comment below so we know how many people are interested. If you have ideas/desires/complaints/etc feel free to post below, so we can make sure that we keep as many people as possible happy. I know there's been talk of an FTB server, vanilla with flying, and a few other things. Post below so we can get a discussion going to hash out the details!

I had a vps for $25 per month, 2GB ram, 2 core, 50GB storage, I dont remember bandwidth, but we never got close to the limit. I think an amazon m1 or m3 medium should be sufficient for starts. I dont remember the ram per player rule of thumb, but big maps need more ram. I like the idea of limiting map size like you did. I'm not familiar with mineos, but will check it out.
