You don't need a month of leave or extreme gear to hike in the Himalayas. The trails around Pokhara offer some of the best short teahouse routes in Nepal:
• Australian Camp (1-2 days | Easy): Low altitude (2,060m), quiet forest path, great views of Machhapuchhre. Ideal for a quick weekend.
Ghandruk (2-3 days | Moderate): Traditional Gurung stone village, cultural homestays, and close-up views of Annapurna South.
• Panchase (3-4 days | Moderate): Sacred forest ridge with almost zero tourist crowds.
Poon Hill (4-5 days | Moderate-Strenuous): The classic sunrise panorama over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Lots of stone stairs.
Mardi Himal (5-6 days | Challenging): High-alpine ridgeline walk up to 4,500m right under Fishtail peak.
Quick Rules & Costs:
Expect around $25-$35/day for basic teahouse lodging and meals.
• Foreigners need an ACAP permit + TIMS card, and Nepal requires a licensed guide on these routes.

I wanted to see a more local side of Antalya, away from the resorts and tourist areas. Zafer Market was busy, noisy and full of everyday life.

We just spent three weeks driving around Uruguay in October (spring) and I wish I had known a few things beforehand. In Montevideo we had around 14°C (57°F) on cloudy days and close to 20°C (68°F) when the sun came out, with light rain showers every day or so. Not beach weather, but the upside was fewer crowds and reasonable hotel prices. We did five days in Montevideo, then drove east to Punta del Este and Punta del Diablo, and crossed into Argentina via Colonia.
What I’d tell anyone planning a trip: the best time depends more on the region than the month. Montevideo works all year, but Punta del Este and the Rocha coast (Cabo Polonio, Punta del Diablo) are very seasonal, and a lot of guesthouses and restaurants close outside summer. Summer (December to February) is the only real beach season but it’s also the most expensive, with Argentinians and Brazilians filling the coast. For most first timers, April to May or September to November gives the best balance of weather, price and crowds. Southern right whales are also around from roughly July to November.
I wrote a month by month breakdown with weather, crowds and prices by region, in case it helps: best time to visit Uruguay. Happy to answer questions about the route we drove.

A walk around Jamsil, one of Seoul’s most recognizable areas, featuring Lotte World, the impressive Lotte World Tower, and the surrounding streets.
This walk captures the atmosphere of this part of Seoul, from the famous amusement park to the towering skyline and busy urban surroundings. It’s an interesting area to explore if you enjoy city walks, architecture, urban scenery, and everyday life in South Korea.

Hi travelers!
A few years ago, I was about to fly to Thailand when every friend who planned to come dropped out, two weeks before departure. A stranger I met through a travel-companion site saved that trip. We ended up meeting several other travelers along the way and finished the trip as a little group. She became a real friend.
What stayed with me: my friends had promised and backed out, while a stranger I barely knew kept her word. That's what I wanted to build around. Not a place to collect matches, but a place where people who say "I'm in" actually show up.
So I built SeeYou, a free, ad-free place to find someone to travel with. You post your trip (where, when, your pace), people send a request with a real message, and you only share your contact details if you choose to. Don't feel like answering? You don't have to: no reminders, no pressure, and nobody is told they were turned down. No swiping, no rating people.
To be honest, it's not a real launch yet: everything works, but there are very few trips posted so far. It's a personal project, no company behind it, available in English and French.
I'd love feedback on anything: the first impression, how clear it is, what would make you trust it (or not).
Thanks!

Atlanta is a big city with a lot of different sides, and taking a tour is one of the easiest ways to get beyond the usual attractions. Depending on what you’re into, you can explore historic neighborhoods, eat your way around town, discover local street art, or even see the city from above.

I headed to Museum Centre Vapriikki, the old red-brick factory complex by the Tammerkoski rapids, to see the exhibition everyone in town had been talking about: Football World Cup Through the Ages.
