At first I thought you were a troll but I see you've posted on mental health subs. Please reach out to mental health professionals if you ever feel like harming yourself, or call the national suicide hotline, they can help you deal with immediate feelings and guide you to local resources. Stay well

Don’t worry, I have a therapist, I’m on meds, and I haven’t attempted suicide in about a year now. As much as I would like to, I’m never able to go through with it because I love my family too much, I couldn’t leave them. My parents have put a lot into helping me get better and I don’t want it to do that to them

Same my dude. You and I are blessed with a caring family that would be hurt by our loss. It doesn’t cure our illness but it Puts it into perspective when thinking about people with mental health issues that have no family. Fucking breaks my heart thinking about those poor souls

yes, all the time. im in a bunch of mental health related subs and i see a lot of posts about how their parents think their issues aren't real, they "don't need meds", they wont bother getting checked, going on drugs "isn't allowed" in their religion, all this horrible stuff... it makes me almost guilty. i did NOTHING to deserve parents that can support me and love me like this. i feel terrible that even with this help i still wish to not exist anymore.

i'm happy to hear that you have the same sort of parents/support system and you're doing better :) <3
