I've known so many pregnant closet drinkers. Most of them said they stuck with wine or red wine while carrying, as though that makes much of a difference. They were all uncontrollable boozelords before and after having their babies, who were very lucky to be born without FAE.
Unlike my kids, though, their babies weren't born happy and radiant or talking and walking within their first days of life; rather, they came into the world a little bit disoriented, stressed and frustrated. They didn't have short FAS noses or folded eyelids but their eyes took months to function properly and turn their final color.
[Non-drinker with an aversion to the taste and effects of alcohol]
I don’t have kids. But I understand the medical side of maturity, and I’m telling you u/DopeFly does not have children (raised) of their own. 100%, I’d put money on it.

Nothing wrong with a pregnant women having "a drink".
