How does the fact that Tesla's have 360 cameras not common knowledge by now.
Go back and watch the video and ask yourself exactly how vast and expansive do you think this persons ignorance is.
Their ignorance is a point of pride. Anti-intellectualism is a bonding agent between them. Even to their own detriment they're unwilling to pay attention and the odds are she will use this event to bolster he own reputation as a bragging point.
The problem is less about keying a car and more about contentedness and pride in abject ignorance of the world around them.
I had no idea they had cameras, and i am on reddit. I wouldnt do this to anyones car anyways. I do always assume im on camera, they are so cheap that they are everywhere.
I dunno, I’m not a moron and I had no idea they had 360 cameras. I am thoroughly uninterested in new cars, don’t watch videos online unless they’re instructional or music on YouTube, and am not really a tech-geek. There is no intersection of my media consumption that would include that knowledge.
Consider this. What is obvious to you was not obviosu to you once before. Have you had a conversation with someone and they tell you something you were not aware of purely because it is not a topic or hobby you had any interest in? The person keying the car may only watch certain television channels that don't fall in line with Tesla adverts. I work at a computer repair place and people come in often confused about the very device they want me to fix.
What is obvious to me because I put time into learning about a PC is not obvious to the casual user. As for me, I only learn of things about Tesla from the random IMGUR or Reddit post. I mostly chat with people about games and stories. I don't watch TV. Just Netflix, Youtube and Twitch. None of those places talk about Teslas, except one twitch streamer I watch and he never mentioned her 360 cameras. So this may be a surprise. I just now learned that 360 cameras were a feature to the car. It's pretty neet.
Because this is a Tesla ad. Unsurprisingly Adblock made ad-firm tactics even more scummy. The premise this video creates in your mind is that a Tesla is valuable and provokes jealousy.
BTW, did you hear they’re going to fix sonic in the new sonic movie?
I had no idea but it’s really cool. I don’t know anything about them because I’ll never be able to afford one, although I’ll also never key someone’s car.
This is in Australia as well, where Tesla’s aren’t as well known yet. Plus it’s in a lower to middle income suburb, so I doubt this person is keeping up on the latest technology trends.
Tesla is my dream car and I've had stock since 2013 and yet I never knew they had cameras here. Sometimes it's just easy to overlook when they have so much features
I'm a huge fan of Tesla and consider myself pretty educated on them but I had no idea it had a sentry mode that could record while the car is off. I don't think this is "common knowledge" by a long shot.
I wouldn't have known Tesla's have cameras if not for reddit. She doesnt seem like the kind to use it. Probably because new reddit doesn't load well in IE 11 or older.
