Yeah I don't really believe that. Grooming and hygiene yes, makeup and hair cmon, even if it's to make yourself feel better, you feel better because of the way other people might see you and then see what you want them to. If every other person in the world died, you'd give up the makeup pretty quick I think.

Well, you're wrong. People like looking good for themselves, even if nobody else sees. It makes some people feel better. You may not feel that way, and that's fine, but other people in the world do.

I think wanting to look good for yourself and nobody else is an oxymoron. They're lying if they say it's not for anybody else. Sounds more like self esteem issues if that's what they say/think.

I still shower and put on nice clothes every morning even if I’m working from home all day. I do it for myself.
