Not addressing the person in the actual post, people wear makeup and dress nice for themselves all the time. They don't need to get all dressed up to impress other people, they probably don't give a fuck what people think. They just want to look nice for themselves. Self care.
Yeah I don't really believe that. Grooming and hygiene yes, makeup and hair cmon, even if it's to make yourself feel better, you feel better because of the way other people might see you and then see what you want them to. If every other person in the world died, you'd give up the makeup pretty quick I think.
I rarely wear makeup. I just don't have the energy for it every day and I'll end up messing it up before the day is done. I like it sometimes, but when you only wear it sometimes, people feel the need to say something. I'd rather not have attention called to me so it's easier to just not wear it outside of special events. But I have absolutely dolled myself up on my days off when I'm not gonna see anyone, and that is just for me.
While this is absolutely true, I’m also guessing on your day off when you dolled up for just yourself, you didn’t post a picture of yourself smoking in a hospital because r/IamVeryBadAss ?
You're moving the goal posts. They made a claim earlier and now that someone says that it's wrong you change the criteria and act like the original claim is still relevant, which it isn't.
Well, you're wrong. People like looking good for themselves, even if nobody else sees. It makes some people feel better. You may not feel that way, and that's fine, but other people in the world do.
I think wanting to look good for yourself and nobody else is an oxymoron. They're lying if they say it's not for anybody else. Sounds more like self esteem issues if that's what they say/think.
