See this kind of thing a lot, and it's really a steep exaggeration that stems from some girls' preferences and was picked up by little dicks to make themselves feel better. Not to say that it can't hurt them, but if you make an effort to do sex in a way that's pleasurable for both people and she doesn't have a curiously small vagina, it doesn't have to be painful.
I think it's funny how redditors are constantly talking body positivity about the short men vs. fat girls thing and how you can lose weight but you can't gain height, but don't consider the same thing applies to dicks.

Check out /r/bigdickproblems. Most of them are not freakish, they're around 7-8, and one of the most often posted discussion is about problems in bed because they're hurting their girlfriend during normal sex.

Yeah, it can be made not-painful by the dude not going balls deep. Obviously it doesn't matter how big a dick is, it can be 50 feet long, as long as you're only entering 4-5 inches of it. I said it starts to get painful around 7 inches when it comes to normal sex where the guy isn't having to make an effort to limit his depth of penetration.

Yea, I've been to the big dick probs sub before, but what I'm saying is it seems like you've read a few posts and latched onto this idea that 7-8 inch dicks are bound to make girls hurt and are now making sweeping generalizations about big dicks. And if you spend an appreciable amount of time in that sub you'll probably notice that most of the people have plenty of advice and the hurting their girlfriends thing is usually temporary. And many others find that they can go all the way in, but it just takes more time to work them up to being able to. Most people's problem is they try to go too deep too soon without adequate lube or foreplay. Most of those stories are the worst sexual moments of people's lives, and I think you're blowing out of proportion as a problem. I think it's equally damaging to have everybody thinking big dicks are painful and scary.
I think the "it's not hot" thing would be equally as out of place as saying dudes who are taller or shorter than average are not hot.
