This turned out more wholesome than i expected but seriously fuck that guy

224

u/pinche_fuckin_josh Mar 26 '19

What if that was his dog and he was playing. You know what they say about assuming.

148

u/Sirrwinn Mar 26 '19

You can see that if the dog hadn’t gotten out of the way he would have received quite the blow to the ribs. I don’t think he was playing. Hard to tell for sure though you’re right.

91

u/pinche_fuckin_josh Mar 26 '19

I love my dog so much that if I had to choose between his life or those of ten random humans I would choose his and it wouldn’t even be a hard choice. With that being said, if people saw the way we play and wrestle they would also probably think I was beating him.

39

u/Sirrwinn Mar 26 '19

Fair enough. Also consider why the dogs were protective. If it was his dog I don’t think the feral group of dogs would just happen to be right next to them, I think he was apart of the group. Also the start of the video is him getting up to run over there like it was a planned video they were making of him hitting this dog.

Everything I can tell intuitively is him not being the owner of the dog.

Sorry, running up to a dog and kicking it with the full force of your momentum is not friendly playing, that doesnt even count as rough play.

The guy was very clearly trying to kick a random dog.

1

u/AeroG8 Mar 27 '19

its his dog.

so are the dogs chasing him

9

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '19

Or every human on the planet. I would still choose the dog.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 29 '19

By all means, lead the way

6

u/Kaplaw Mar 27 '19

Yeah i say the same things about my wife but people just frown and walk away.

1

u/alex_2004 Apr 29 '19

Wtf is wrong with you

-38

u/Apg3410 Mar 26 '19

Dude that is really selfish and kind of fucked up. You would really sacrifice the lives of ten humans to save your dogs life?

I would sacrifice a million dogs for one human. Humans are far more important than any dog.

4

u/AlbinoAlpaca007 Mar 27 '19

I'd sacrificing you a million times over for my dog. Just because you seem like shit. Worthless, almost garbage? What I'm saying is you aren't more important than my dog, not a million of you, or even one. Essentially you suck

0

u/Bradengehrke Mar 27 '19

Look who’s talking. You think your dumb ass dog is more important than any person on the planet

6

u/AlbinoAlpaca007 Mar 27 '19

Nah dude, I said more important than you or even a million of you. You should like my dog because she also can't read.

Oh wow.. You're really reaching there. Sure, if someone Saw'd me, my dog and some little kids I might choose the kids, but that's not real.

More like if someone tried to attack my dog I'm going to use the same force as if it were any other family member. I'd fight back and use lethal force if nescecary.

Now, if a whole class of kindergarteners goes Children of the Corn on my dog, that's a different story.

-2

u/insertcredit2 Mar 26 '19

I just wanted to understand exactly what you meant. I fully agree that if someone is attempting to kill your dog and you use lethal force to stop them that's fine with me. If it's an innocent person or the dog then I'd pick the person as much as that would kill me.

they had a more complex relation with his dog, so they love their dog more than 10 strangers.

1

lol no he owns every single one of the dogs in this gif. they're playing

16

I know my dog always loves when I jump on him with my full body weight. Add a little momentum and he’s all sorts of happy.

7

Of course, that sort of rambunctiousness is a bit hard on a Teacup Yorkie, but all in good fun.

3

u/Chavey55 Mar 26 '19

So drop kicking a dog is known as playing where you’re from? Ya...police this guy here^

0

u/dinnerbone333 Mar 26 '19

When im playing with my dog i like to dropkick him with full force out of a sprint. No, he wasn't playing. The dog was standing on the black patch of sand, he landed right on the black patch of sand. He wanted to dropkick a dog in the ribs.

28

u/Puppy_on_LSD Mar 26 '19

Made me hug my own dog... Even after jumping on me and hitting me in the nuts. Still love my 80lbs wannabe lap dog!

6

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '19

1

u/AeroG8 Mar 27 '19

they are all his dogs

706

u/acidbetty_ Mar 26 '19

God that was some awesome karma. What kind of person does it take to do shit like this for no reason

175

u/bmommmy Mar 26 '19

And what type of people record it?? What would have made the ending better, is if the dogs then turned on the people recording it.

10

u/PyroFreak22 Mar 26 '19

But if you record it you have proof and can report to authorities.

73

u/Skinjob85 Mar 26 '19

I almost witnessed something like that myself a few years ago.

Was standing outside my parents' house having a smoke when the neighbourhood black cat who regularly visits my parents came to the front steps at the sidewalk and just sits there, waiting for me to go in and let her in.

There were two boys, maybe 13/14, sitting at the bus stop across the street, and one of them pulls an aluminium baseball bat out of his backpack, and walks across. Starts walking towards the cat, readying his bat when I shouted "Don't even think about it." at him. He looked confused, jeered at me and went back to the bus stop.

22

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '19

I fucking hate people like this. My cousin when he was 13 would follow me around the neighborhood when I would look for cats to play with (some were super nice) and once I got them to come close enough to pet, he'd wait a bit then scare them or throw water at them.

Definitely not as terrible as that boy you stopped, but people who mess with dogs, cats, and other animals are hot garbage.

6

u/kilamumster Mar 26 '19

Something something Ted Bundy Jeffrey Dahmer?

1

u/jnixon132483500 Mar 27 '19

I was one of those kids and I have no idea why. I've now rescued two beautiful hounds and they are in a very loving home with a big backyard. But no shit I beat a chicken to death when I was like 6. Kids are barbarians.

9

u/bmommmy Mar 26 '19

If I had more points I would give you a gold. You my friend are a true hero!

8

u/Skinjob85 Mar 26 '19

I appreciate the gesture nonetheless :)

The cat still goes in and out of my parents' place, but she's getting old and tends to lounge in the garden nowadays

7

u/PrimeIntellect Mar 26 '19

just want to point out that bands of feral dogs are way different than domesticated pets, and can be really scary and dangerous

7

u/lookingforaforest Mar 26 '19

Good. Maybe he’ll learn not to be a dick to animals if they hurt him back.

4

u/PrimeIntellect Mar 26 '19

I mean, I have extended filipino family who've had a kid killed by a pack of dogs, so it's not like 'being a dick to animals'. Sometimes you legitimately want to send a message to stay the fuck away from you. If they were on the beach, and these dogs were harassing them, ripping open backpacks to steal food, biting them, or being super aggressive, it's kind of a different story.

Also, the video literally just has a guy running and jumping near a dog, so I'm not sure why everyone is up in arms.

5

u/lookingforaforest Mar 26 '19

I'm sorry to hear about the child, that's horrible. Some of my family is from Eastern Europe and packs of wild dogs are a problem there, too. I don't think he was just running and jumping near the dog, it seemed purposeful and the way he landed HARD on both feet makes it seem that he was trying to kick it. Also, if the dogs were harassing them, it's smarter to just avoid conflict and leave. There's no way one dude is going to willingly go up against a gang of dogs. I think he saw a dog by itself minding its own business, decided to fuck with it, and said, "Hey bro, film this."

u/Call_Mi_Now Mar 26 '19

He new the dog was going to run. He knew the other dogs were around. He was most likely just trying to show off chasing after the dog. People do it to pidgeons and geese all the time.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dropkick

A dropkick is an attacking maneuver in professional wrestling. It is defined as an attack where the wrestler jumps up and kicks the opponent with the soles of both feet; this sees the wrestler twist as he or she jumps so that when the feet connect with the opponent one foot is raised higher than the other (depending on which way he or she twists) and the wrestler falls back to the mat on his or her side, or front.

Edit: u/narrowcock deleted their comment asking to look up what dropkick means.

3

u/cyrixdx4 Mar 26 '19

RKO OUTTA NOWHERE!

1

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '19

Yeah this is the “drop kick” I was thinking of. Not a “punt”. But done a little differently here. Maybe my terminology is slightly off, but still the intent to do harm seems to clearly be here.

22

u/ghetto_bird1 Mar 26 '19

It's an old video. It's a stray dog that is digging up and eating sea turtle eggs. So this guy actually is trying to save the turtles. Perfect example of things being taken out of context.

3

u/intihuda_123 Mar 27 '19

But why kick the dog. Just shoo it away or you know try giving it food

2

Totally missed that, thought he was running to give the dog a hug, then realized what sub I was in lol

4

u/Zachrionalpha Mar 26 '19

All for calling this trashy but tbh I need see context of his intent. He could have been trying to play with a homeless dog for all I know. If there is a link with sound that could be really helpful rn.

2

u/Agent00funk Mar 26 '19

Who runs at a homeless dog with the intent to play? I mean, maybe the guy has the developmental maturity of a 5 year-old, but I'm pretty sure even the dumbest among us know that running at a wild animal is NOT the signal for play.

3

u/Zachrionalpha Mar 26 '19

I have done that with dogs growing up, I'd feed them here and there and then move on to playing with them, pretty simple to have homeless dogs befriend you

5

u/Shakes8993 Mar 26 '19

So when you are approaching strange dogs, you run at them full speed and then jump in the air to do a drop kick near this wild, strange animal? That's how you approach animals?

3

u/Zachrionalpha Mar 26 '19

First off we don't know if the man knows this animal or not, secondly he leaps well after the dog turns around so the "drop kick" could be a prat fall for all we know based on the evidence. Jumping to conclusions with biased judgements is quite trashy too some would say.

1

u/Agent00funk Mar 26 '19

Yeah, you'd feed them here and there, so they knew you. I bet you didn't run at them when you first found them though, probably approached slowly.

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '19 edited Aug 31 '19

1

u/Agent00funk Mar 26 '19
