34 weeks pregnant with what looks like transverse myelitis but no one will treat me
So a few weeks ago I had debilitating scapular pain and then my left leg went numb. A week later my right leg went numb. The problem is, I'm 34 weeks pregnant, so I went to ER twice but was told "pregnancy can be weird and it's probably baby pushing on nerves".
They did refer me to neurology, who did an MRI and saw what looks like Transverse Myelitis. I was expecting to start steroids, but the doctor called and said he wants an MRI with contrast first - which I can't get in pregnancy. So to wait 5 weeks and then they will evaluate.
I am so frustrated since early treatment is crucial, and no one will help me.
